I've read alot and I'm curious about a few things. Will this tank be suitable for the basis of my mobile van. How do I go about getting the water to the pressure washer. click for tank

Is a pump needed and if yes what the best way to do this on a small budget. I can spend a little bit but I need too keep on getting my project cars together. The reason I'm trying to do the mobile thing is I've been washing and detailing cars for fun on the weekends and many people have expressed that it would be nice if I came to their house and did it while they were out. My planned vehicle is a ford aerostar I'm trading my old Dell pc for it. I have two power washers a small 1300 psi one from home depot that works nice and its quiet. I also have a big one not sure on its rating its been in storage. I'm l,ooking for the basics here I'm not planning to be on the road mon-fri just on the weekends.

Sorry this is so long and not to the point but I'm sure you guys can help plus I'm a:newbie

Thanks Robert

I used a tank very similar to the one you've posted, mine is 90 gal. When i ordered it I had them put two exit holes in the bottom corner of the tank, just make a trip to home depot and get all the nessesary connections to run pvc pipe from the exits to regular garden hose and then to your pressure washer. If you plan on using a small electric pressure washer you will probably want to buy a small pump to help it out( or you risk burning up the pump), i have a honda gas engine with my pump and as along as the water level is higher than the pump intake youll be fine. good luck with the business going mobile. Check out some posts here on this same topic and look at the pictures, should help out alot

What kind of pump would you recommend and where might I get one at. I'll probably just use my gas powered one if thats easier but the electric one is a bit quieter and won't wake people up so early in the morning. 1 guy likes me at his house by 7am so he can be gone by 9am. Thanks for the reply.

I bought a Coleman Powermate 2700 psi pressure washer and then i just unbolted the engine/pump from the frame ( it had wheels and stuff) and bolted it to the trailer in front of the water tank, so far i have not had a problem, ( any pressure washer from home depot or any store would work , you just need to take it off the cart in order for the inlet to be below the water level of your tank.) For the second out let from the tank i ran to the end of the trailer, through the floor and out the bottom of the trailer with a spickit for filling buckets and washing things, i love it. just an idea

I also have a coleman powermate washer. How did you set it up in your trailer? Any Pics? I am trying to set it up in an astro van, in the back. I installed a plywood floor and and shelve in the back to mount it to.
