so the first car is my 96 mustang....it was repainted by earl shibe(before i got the car...what a crappy job). There is orange peal all over the car, and i have some swirl marks i would like to get rid of.

swirls(you can see them better after its been washed)

These next pics are of my buddies 90 mustang. It looks good when its wet. Is there a way to get rid of that oxidation on the hood, and keep the nice wet look to make it look half way decent. Also there is what looks like white paint splatter that got on his car, which we can't seem to get off.

I am sure others will say claybar which you can get otc at an auto store. go with the mothers california gold clabar kit for around 16.00, it comes with qd for lube. also the PC will be recomended Im sure. I have not been detailing long, but from what I have read on here, those aare the first things recomended to clean up the paint nicely. The pc will remove that oxidation, and swirling depending on product usage...as far as your products go, Im not sure about any of them, but there is definately someone here who does... I use poorboys ssr1-3 and lake country pads black-yellow, these would do a nice job, not sure on how much money you are looking to spend but I would definately get the claybar for that overspray....some one else will take it from here..

oh yeah...and i think i will have to apply and fix this by hand.

Unless ofcourse i can use the chamberlain waxmaster 900 that my dad has(but that doesn't look anything like a pc)

Wow, there's a collection of vintage/esoteric/new products. Try clay for the paint splatter, and the DC1 cleaner for the oxidation. That 3M machine polish would be the thing for swirls, dunno if you can use it by hand (carcinogenic dust from that, IIRC). BTW, use the Meg's Hand Polish rather than the #7, it's a little easier to work with.

haha yeah i know they are pretty old....i'm trying to get away with not buying anything, and just using what my dad has here.

will that 3m stuff work with the "waxmaster" or is that a negatory?

and thanks very much. I will try it out this weekend.
