Need some help with leather

I had a question for you guys/gals. I have a car coming in next week Vw Jetta w/black leather the customer claims she left her sunroof open and the leather is now hard in that area. She said her husband allready tried a leather conditioner but no difference. Is there anything I can try? I need something that I can get quickly I have some Megs leather conditioners with aloe but i have not encountered a problem like this any and all comments would help.

Ditto on the Woolite. Also, look into getting a horsehair brush if you HAVE to use a brush. This is THE only brush to use or you run the risk of putting scratches in the leather.

Go and mix up 6 parts distilled water and one part Woolite. Spray, remove and use another damp towel to get all Wollite out. Dry with a fresh terrry towel and apply your treatment.

I use Zaino Z-10 for that new leather smell.

Leatherique is specially formulated to restore really hard leather. It is a combination product, with a conditioning oil applied to the leather, followed by a cleaner/conditioner. Check out their website, it has a lot of good info on leather. www.leatherique.com
 
I'm not one to push Griot's products (above average quality at way-above-average prices) but they have an excellent leather restoration product that I used with great success.
 
This is the damage I know it is not a good pic but is is really wrinkled and hard. I tried the woolite and aloe based leather conditioner but really no improvement except it is softer and more pliable.

Did you try Leatherique? It is a highly regarded professional restoration product. I havd used it with good results.
 
Jay I like alot of the Griot's products even though they are overpriced. I have heard many good things about the leather rejuvenator, it is specially made for old, dry or cracking leather. They say that it will darken your leather some so you should test a small spot to make sure your customer is cool with the change in color. For applying the product they suggest that you warm it in the microwave and that you park the car in the sun or at least run the heater for awhile. Good luck!

Lexol cleaner . I've had good results with dried hard saddle leather softening up using it . Let it dwell for a few mins.
 
Zaino leather cleaner and their conditioner, best stuff I have ever used. Also, the car will smell like a leather shop when your done.
