i got a silver car and its been waxed since i got it last year and its never been polish. and i just notice i got some light scratches on my hood. i am going to claybar my car wit mothers and use meguiar #81 and top it off wit NXT. and ill be doing everything by hand. do you guys think #81 will be good for my car like not too aggressive. thnkz

I would hit it with some #80 speed glaze if you can get it. Maybe, maybe not, but your car may have more scratches than you think. Have you checked under really good lighting. Silver hides swirls pretty well thats all. #80 isn't too agressive either so its all up to what you want. Just my .02

I didn't like NXT on my silver Solara...it looked good for 3-4 days and then the sparkle started to white out. The protection was still very good, but I caught the detailing bug and had to try other stuff out, LOL.

I've got Klasse AIO on there and really like the look. I plan to top it with Poor Boy's EX-P next weekend.

Any way, that's my 2 cents on the NXT...

It wouldn't hurt to have both. #80 is a mild polish, cleaner, glaze and may be used in a single step, however most autopians a single step product isn't enough. Depending on your paints finish #80 may be enough to give a finish you like but you won't have alot of protection for long. You can then follow w/ #81 which will give you even more shine then top w/ topper of choice. #81 is a very light polish that it s main objective is to replenish your paints oils so to speak. Remember most polish's don't provide protection for very long and some don't offer any. Hope this helps

Silver is more forgiving than many other colors, but it still needs polishing from time to time. #81 is nonabrasive, so yeah, the #80 is probably a better bet.

yeah my paint is still in good condition but if you look closely you can see the flaws. its been kept in garage and waxed once a month since i got it last year.

Sounds like a good candidate for the #80. If none of your local autopaint/body supply places have it, you can always order some. It's good to have around...
