Need Product for Scratch/Swirl Removal By Hand Before AIO/SG

Player Appreciate!
I am going to be hitting my '02 Audi (Brilliant Black) with some Klasse twin-love in the near future. Going to be my first "real project" but am going to have to do it by hand until I stuff away some cash for a PC.

The paint itself is in good condition, though there is the usual bunch of spiderweb/light swirling scratches that came through the usual wear and tear of the previous owner (touchless washes I assume).

After a wash and clay, I need something to remove the swirls that works by hand... something not to abrasive, as I don't want to mess up my first real detail.

What works great by hand and will work well with the AIO/SG combo?

Thanks.

1. Swirl removal by hand was never easy for me
2. Meg's Scratch X is supposed to be for hand use
3. Poorboy's SSR2 is considered hand use friendly by some people.
4. I used Meg's #9 and it was not easy to use by hand
5. Just about any swirl remover should be compatible with the Klasse twins. AIO will do a great job of cleaning the paint prior to the SG (Or any other product for that matter)

I've heard Audi paint is pretty hard stuff, so you may not get the results you're hoping for, by hand. (On the plus side, it may not get marred as easily once it's all prettied up!)
For local products, Mothers Scratch remover or, as Charles mentioned, Megs ScratchX can work by hand. Be prepared to apply repeatedly with either one. It's a gradual process. Don't expect to be done after 1 or 2 applications.
For swirls/cobwebs, Megs Swirl Free Polish has worked fairly well for me, by hand.
From online, the PB SSR's can do a good job by hand, and they are "sun friendly."

One thing to consider, though, is to try your processes/products on a small area first. This way you'll have a better idea whether or not you are getting anywhere (actual side by side comparison vs "from memory").
Also, you may want to work in sections, rather than tackle the whole thing at once. (Polish then wax a fender, then move to the door, then....) This way, if you wear yourself out, you won't have the polished parts left unprotected if you have to call it quits for the day.

Thats the position I am in. I have a jet black BMW M3 that I need to polish and wax. I also have swirl marks in my paint. They look terrible to me. But I didnt think I would be able to accomplish anything by hand so I havent tryed yet. I just recently purchased the poorboys ssr 2 and ssr1. Is it worth trying to use the ssr2 by hand to get the swirls out or will I be wasting my time? And after the ssr2 do I have to use the ssr1 or can I go right to wax/sealant?

RM clears are hard. (audi uses Glassurit which is RMs top line) Audi's don't take very kindly to hand polishing, however with the right product it can be done. I would recomend going with either ssr 2 or 2.5 or the norton line which is very hand frendly. O3B in particular would be a great product for what your doing IMO. You would have to follow with another remver after, but it would get the job done. My recomendation for anyone with a dark colored audi/VW is to buy at least a PC.
