Need opinion on Wal-Mart brand wash-mit

I bought the "Detailer's Choice" wash mit from wal-mart a month or two ago. It's the one that looks like a boxing glove. Has anyone used that? Good or bad?
 
Nevermind. It's useless crap. Used it on a CD and sure enought it scratched.



I'm going back to look for 100% cotton mitts. None of this blended garbage.
 
I saw some nice soft plush wool mitts at the store today but I was just too afraid to buy any of them. I think I'm gonna stick with a 99 cent wash sponge that I have. Ran it across a CD and no visible detection. :nixweiss
 
how about the Walmart sheepskin mitt, with genuine leather as the inside lining? I've had good luck with these, anyone else?

Was that Euro brand or something like that? I saw that, it was nice, but when I ran it across the surface of a CD (yeah, I had a CD with me at WalMart :rolleyes: ) I noticed it left fine scratches. I was pressing kind of hard against the surface, so that may have been a factor.
 
I just ordered some chenille sponges and an OXO brush from CMA. Eliminates any doubt and second-guessing. Plus I'm not a fan of setting my stuff on fire purposely :).

I was wondering about that. Which brand did you buy? There was one made by NicSand and it came in red/orange package, but I was leery because the stiched edges were exposed. Then there was another type that came in a dark package. Can't remember the name but it started with an "E."
 
I just purchased the Walmart sheepskin mitt with the leather lining. I did the CD test and had no issues at all with scratching. Its very plush and soft......
 
I've seen those, although I havent purchased one they look identical to every sheepskin mitt I have ever seen.



I think Mindflux might have purchased one at Wally World, you might ask him how he likes it!

Which brand? Please lemme know as I might go back and pick it up if Wal-Mart has it by me.

It is the EUROW brand...I just let the mitt glide across the surface, letting its weight with soapy water apply any pressure.:cool:
 
i have had the walmart sheepskin mitt for about 6 months now, and no scratching at all on my paint. Very plush, best mitt ive ever used for 6 bucks!!!!!!!!
