Dear All Star of I-5,

My name is Michael Perozzo. I am writing to introduce you to 3 in 1 Auto Detail!

3 in 1 Auto Detail is here to service all of your cosmetic auto needs. From scratch removal and stain removal to paint sealants and interior care. Please read on and learn more about what makes 3 in 1 Lewis County’s #1 choice for auto detail!

3 in 1 Auto Detail has been serving the Twin Cities community for over 10 years. On September 1st, 3 in 1 was bought by my family and we are taking a number of great strides to see the company reach is fullest potential.

Recently, an article was published about us in both The Chronicle and the Chamber of Commerce “Connections” newsletter. In it, we pointed out three major changes we’ve made already. Here are those three things as printed in the article:

“First, 3 in 1 joined the Professional Detailer Technicians Association. The PDTA offers detail training and new equipment reviews to keep 3 in 1 Detail on the edge of the detail market!

“Next, the shop committed to be an Exclusive Applicator of Meguiar’s car care products. This means all vehicles will be cleaned and protected with the best solutions, chemicals and dressings available. Meguiar’s has produced wood, leather, vinyl and rubber care treatments for cars and musical instruments since 1901.

“Finally, 3 in 1 Auto Detail is excited to be the newest member of the Centralia/Chehalis Chamber of Commerce. Through the Chamber, the Perozzos hope to make new friends and additional business relationships in Lewis County.”

I hope this brief letter has given you some insight into our passion. We’re passionate about providing quality service with a spirit of excellence. We’re passionate about vehicles. We’re passionate about people.

In the next few days, I’ll be calling you to follow up on this letter. Your company’s vehicles are a huge part of your business' image. Consumers pay attention to your vehicles. “We pay attention to detail.” I look forward to discussing creative solutions to all your cosmetic vehicle needs. As always,
3 in 1 offers free pick-up and delivery to conform to your busy schedule.

Cordially,

Michael D. Perozzo

it looks good. can you offer pickup and delivery within a 30 minute radius? sometimes that makes a difference also.

Good looking letter. One of the things you might want to state is how would appearance detailing benefit them. A simple statement such as:

'Appearance detailing does more than keep your car(s) looking good, it also prevents premature deterioration of your vehicles that is caused by pollutants and road grime accumulation left unattended, thus extending the useful life of your investments perhaps by years.'

Great input Don... and well-worded! Thanks!

Keep 'em comin' guys!
I'm determined to make my first $Million in auto detail soon

I'm very impressed with your letter and your motivation and creativity . I like it when somebodies really excited about detailing business.

Don has a great idea . See if you can incorporate it early in the letter . Get your point across soon as many owners/mgrs don't have alot of time to go thru mail.

Instead of saying "The business was bought by my family " how about saying your "f amily owned as of Sep 3 " or" family owned and operated "

As of Sep 3rd , 3 in 1 Auto Detail is family owned and operated.

Good luck and keep on pushing ahead..Aloha

Hi Michael,

Your letter will spark interest, but you need to follow up with a phone call to the receipents of your letters.

Additionally, write the benefits or value of each of the "features" that you have stated in your letter.

"Features tell, benefits sell"

Prospects are interested in how to save money and time, or sell their product better. If you can tie your letter's presentation to benefits to them, you will do better.

After each feature, write "which means to you..." that will reinforce your value to the prospect.

Best of luck and keep us posted.

Tom

Awesome thoughts guys... I put 10 of them in the mail as a test run already.
I received one response immediately from a used-car dealer. Just an interior
shampoo and extract. A $60 job. But hey, that already paid for the paper, envelopes and stamps for about 150 of these.

Tomorrow, I'll be following up on the rest of them by phone. This is sort of a practice run. I plan to send out 200-300 of these letters to area businesses.

Have any of you actually Contracted work from other businesses? i.e. an
agreed upon discount delivered on paper? If so, how did you go about it?

Thanks!

Congrats,
on your new business and 1st call.

The best of luck to you and your Family  .

I just wanted to see how things were going and if any other business has been coming in. One thing I did was to offer them a free wash and vac ( 2 to be honest ). It seemed to help me get peolple in the door and later they brought there car back in for a complete detail. I thought it was better to introduce myself in person than over the phone and paper alone. They also got to see my shop and cars I was working on.

Good luck,
Jay
