This is what the Jaguar Clubs of North America do for national concours events. This is a first place pewter plate. (read the text in the centre) The plate is about 12" in diameter. 2nd place is a few inches smaller and 3rd place smaller yet.
In this case an additional metal tab is affixed which has the name of the city where the event was held. That is optional. ALL the Jaguar concours events, no matter where they take place throughout the USA, use these same awards. I, for instance, have a collection of a number of these identical awards collected from all over the country from different years. I joke that I have a place setting for a huge party!
I like the consistancy. It's better that having different kinds of trophies every where you go. It's also, we feel, classier than the "bowling trophy" syndrome. But I don't mean to put anyone down by saying that. It's just that this plate style is sort of a tradition, that's all.
