You may want to stay with the NXT. Once you've got the surface properly cleaned you can apply a coat of NXT and then easily re-apply additional coats about every month or so. With NXT you will also notice that the surface will begin to get more slippery to the touch with additional applications.
 
For a black daily driver the best advice I can give is to get a foamgun and perfect your wash technique. Clear is clear, it's just that black shows the flaws in the clear more readily than some other colors. Don't mar it when you wash and the color choice won't be nearly as big an issue. I would use a very slick LSP though, and wash it frequently (and properly).
