IME you should be able to remove holograms via PC...you can do all sorts of correction via PC with the right pad/product combo and holograms shouldn't be *that* bad. If the holograms *are* really severe that could be a different story...
But just because you *can* do something, that doesn't make it the best course of action. [Insert "buy a Flex 3401" advice here]
If my Flex died I'd buy another one in a hearbeat instead of getting one of my rotaries back off the shelf![]()
I am in the process of selling my house and moving, so I haven't spent much time here on Autopia lately. Yeah Accumulator, I LOVE the Flex, and have considered buying a second as a back up.
My wife accidentally put about an 18" long scratch on my in-laws' Mazda MPV with a metal shelf while we were moving. I had to pull the rotary out, and use a burgundy Solo wool pad, and M95 to remove that. I think that's the first time I have used the rotary in a loooooong time since getting the Flex.
I have found that the Flex has tackled just about everything I have encountered since I purchased it. I am talking soft paints like Porsche 996 and 997s....all the way to Vettes.
