Need Help Posting Images

Can anyone help me. I am trying to upload some images to support a review I want to post and it is taking FOREVER!

I've already optimized the images to around 100K each but uploading them to the Autopia Gallery is like having my teeth pulled while I watch paint dry (two images in 45 minutes!)

Some one please help, therer HAS to be a better (and faster) way than this!

Thanks

What type of internet connection do yo have? My pictures range from 70kb to 150kb and they usually take about 3-5 seconds to upload.

Thats the point! I'm on a 2MBS cable connection, its really fast! I'll just hang in there, its just a pain to have to wait on the uploads.

Something's definitely up. With a 2mb download speed, you should have around a 256k upload speed and should blaze through those little pics. I have a 5mb/1024k connection but I used to be on the same connection you are on now, and never had a problem. Have you tested your speed lately? Sometimes, it's actually a hardware issue. I know I used to fight old wiring in my house, and had the cable company here on a monthly basis until they finally ran a whole new line from the street pole and new cable all through the house, along with a dedicated line straight to my modem. Now I'm okay, but until then I used to have constant connection problems. I even had a splittler go bad and lost half of my bandwith. You can go to www.cnet.com and do a search for broadband speed tests and find some good programs for that purpose and test you actual speed to see if its a hardware/connection problem or just an incorrect setting somewhere.

Thnaks for trying to help jason, I really appreciate it.

To be honest I do not think the problem is on my end, every other site is downloading fine, I tried uploading to other servers with no problem. I have a TCP logger available, I'll try pinging Autopia's image server later today and check out the TCP traffic.

For now, I just want to read the new posts!!:D

Yep, I'm with you! :xyxthumbs

You are probably right about the Autopia server. They have been having a few troubles lately, so that might be the culprit.
