Im thinking of adding some things to my site. Now granted SA doesnt have lots and lots of detailers floating around but there are a couple businesses here and there. Ive visited their sites and such but i dont see why some businesses make it seem like theyre making fun of other detailers. Saying they cant do it as good as me or theyre not real detailers and such, or theyre not real detailers if they have to take your car to be washed at a coin op or what ever. This is just the way i take it. Now my ? is should i sit here and say for example heres links to my competitors along with pricing and pics say well you should choose me because your finish would look like this or like this. I know it seems real unprofessional and i probably wont do it but i just dont like the fact that theres business's like that.

I have a FT job that pays very well and i detail on the side and such but i dont feel the need to say we'll since he has to charge 150 to clay the vehicle it really isnt worth it. But then again it may be my own opinion since i have a job and this isnt my primary source of income.

what do you guys think.

Mobile detailers here in San Antonio that have a website are just the tip of the iceberg, don't be fooled by thinking there only a couple here and there. And no one is making fun of other detailers, it's just competion. In any business, you advertise your better than the competion, it's part of business. Detailers that do this fulltime here are making some serious $.

Put together a simple site with your pics, pricing, services, etc. Hosting is relatively inexpensive. When I look for companies to purchase a service from I always look at the web first. A website is a great advertising tool.

I also only detail on a PT basis. Like you, I have a FT job that pays good. This started as a hobby that slowly turned into some decent side money.

Dont badmouth other detailers or competition. As a consumer I dont like to hear that.

Good luck.

IMO You should create a website that shows off the good work you do, and as suggested you should not badmouth other businesses, this just makes you look unprofessional.

Your website should be a site showing your attention to detail, your experience, your talent, and your dedication to producing the best possible job for the customer. It should include your prices, and _not_ mention the prices of others, these are prices you think are fair for the work, skills, and time you take, not based on your competitors price.

Just my ha'penny worth :)
