My first deep clean and detail on my 2005 Black F350.
Here is a pic of the side, it was the best shot I could get. The paint I think is in really great shape, just needs a deep clean and polish.
You can see the vertical lines from the sun reflection, not sure if this is marring or spider webbing. Prob from normal washing from previous owner. I am going to use Sonus clay to clean and prep the paint, but after that I have not decided. I have it narrowed to to 3 choices:
Sonus SFX-2 with Sonus white pad
Sonus SFX-3 with Sonus red pad
top with S100 or P21s
OR
Optimum Polish II with LC white pad (orange may be too aggressive for first attempt)
Optimum Polish Seal with LC black pad
top with S100 or p21s
OR
Menzerna IP with LC white pad
Menzerna FP the LC black pad
top with S100 or p21s
I will be using the UDM. My previous truck, a silver Tacoma I used Klasse AIO 2x Klasse Sealant 3x and top with S100. It truly looked like it was dipped in oil when it was done, but that combo is more for lighter colored cars. Plus my truck won't fit in my garage, so 6 layers is outa the question.
So I hope you guys can chime in and help me decide. Thanks for all your help....
