Hey wuts up guys?

alright so heres the deal, tonight i am ordering a PC:D . anyway i dont know what kind of polish i should get for my car when i go to use the PC. i have swirl marks galor. when my car is freshly cleaned and i look at it on an angle in the sun all i see is white swirls. it looks terrible:( . i wouldnt say that they arent really deep, but i have hand applyed the meguiars number 9 swirl remover and had no results. i was thinking maybe about getting the meguiars number 2. thats a little more abrassive. would that be good or would the number 9 do better now that i will have a pc? also i am lookin for a polish that wont hurt my clear coats. any help would be very much appreciated.

Megs #2 is not made for a PC. It sounds like you will need something more abrasive than #9. If you want to stay with Megs products I would purchase Dual Action Cleaner polish (DACP) #83. Use #83 and follow up with #9.

My recommendation is to go with Poorboy's polishes. They are inexpensive, very forgiving and work well too. If your swirls are really bad, you may need to have professional rotary work done. You can problably get most of them out or at least, not as noticalbe with your PC.

To start out, order Poorboys SSR2.5 and a cutting pad. Do multiple passes and work it in untill it is fully broken down. Then follow up with SSR1 and a polishing pad.

Use a glaze to fill in the hard to get out swirls or just go straight to your last step product (wax or sealant).

Have fun!!!

Ditto on the poorboys, instead of using a glaze use the pwc

so you can buy

ssr2.5,2, 1, pwc, ex/exp, natties

theres a bunch of things call steve & he'll help you decide

I have had excellent results with Menzerna Intensive Polish using the PC (set at 5.5). You may have to work the product a few times, but it WILL REMOVE most scratches and swirls. -Good luck!

alright so i have been reading around, and i am curious as to if the Menzerna Intensive Polish would be a good choice. it sounds really good. also i would buy the Menzerna Final Polish, that gets used after the intensive polish right? How would this sound, the money is not an issue, i just want my car to look good and not hurt anything tho.

Definitly 2 of the finest polishes you'll find. I'm a big fan of both, but i would suggest Final Polish II its easier to work with..

My experience with the Menzerna polishes is that they are very mild. It is hard to decide what products to use without seeing the finish first. You might start with the Menzerna Polish and see what your results are. If more work is needed, then step up to a products like DACP.

Always go with the least agressive products first. Take your time and give each product a chance to work before moving on.

BTW, Welcome to the forum.

Post pictures if you can. :wavey

so would you guys recomend that i go with the intensive polish or should i go with one of the other options that the guys have given in this thread?

Go with Poor Boys

Some of us are recommending the Poorboys polishes because they are much easier to use than the Menzerna polishes. I think Menzerna works better, but you have to be very proficient to make it work. The Poorboys polishes are much more forgiving. If you don't have much experience with a DA, go with Poorboys.

hi,

My 2 cents- I've never tried Manzerna or Poorboy's. I will go for the poorboy's because of price and a lot of people are saying ease of use. Check out Scottwax's work. Manzerna's are very good also but a bit more expensive I think. I use Klasse AIO and Meg's #9 for polishing for now since I have not purchased my Poorboy's yet.
