Need Help: Cleaning Plasti Dip Wheels

Does anybody here have experience with cleaning Plasti Dip wheels?

My brother wants my help and advice with maintaining the appearance of his truck. I've given him a basic rundown of what I know and told him about here and AGO.

However, there is one thing I really don't know about - the Plasti Dip on his wheels. I've searched and found that some APCs are safe so I can try my Meg's APC and that you can use tire dressing on it. I couldn't find a few answers though.

1. How much agitation can the Plasti Dip (properly applied) withstand? THe softest brush I have right now is a Tampico spoke brush.

2. Does anyone know if any stronger cleaners are safe on the dip?

3. Would a tire coating work on the Plasti Dip such as Tuff Shine or DP?

4. Will tire cleaners damage the dip at all?

Once plasti dip is cured it can withstand a good bit of scrubbing. Don't use a really strong APC like Optimum Power Clean, it will remove it. I have seen where if you aren't really careful around the edges, where the tire and rim meet, that a tire cleaner and brush will cause it to peel. I would just use soap and water. It can clean up pretty easily.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll just try regular soap and a mitt and move up to D101 at 1:10 if that doesn't get it all.
