Need help cleaning headlight lens

I had to replace the housing for the Zenon headlights on the GS400 I just purchased ($1,200 each at the dealer) so I found some online for $200 each. One of them was very clear but the driver's side lens looks pretty rough. It is not really scratched but it is marred and almost has a hazed look in places. Is there a product that I can use with the pc to clear this up or at least minimize the problem?

You need some type of polish with a cut to it . Some use Meguairs Plastic X with good resutls . You may need to do some sanding first with 1500 - 3000 paper depending on the condition, then polish them out . Bright Soluiton's makes nice reconditioning kit for lights . Good luck :buffing:

You really don't need a polish with a cut to it if the lenses are not scratched. A lot just get faded or oxidized and a chemical polish will bring them right back.

If you read his post the lense has marring , you need something that will level the surface to get this looking new .

I appreciate the comments. I currently have some SSR2, #83, Menzerna FP, and AIO. I think I will try to find some of the Plastic X locally and see if it works. If not I will try the SSR2. I will post after this weekend and let you know how it works. Thanks for the suggestions.
