Need feedback on these glazes

hi! in my part of the world only these "glazes" are available. i need help on your feedback for each and pls help me pick whats the best.



1st my set-up. i have a sealant already applied in my honda city (aria). i want to use a glaze on top of the sealant and "seal" it with carnauba.



here are the glazes:



1. 3M IHG

2. Mom's Phase 2

3. Megs Phase 2



hard to come by:

4. Megs #7 Show Car Glaze



Other glazes not available here...unfortunately... :( BTW, i will also be doing this by hand. :)

So if I understand correctly you have a sealant on your car? If so then a glaze will not bond to the sealant which will make it impossible to top with a carnauba. If the glass has enough cleaners it will remove the sealant thus allowing you to top with a carnauba. So here are the basic choices IMHO:



Remove the sealant then glaze/carnauba wax

Sealant/carnauba Wax

Glaze/Sealant carnauba Wax (the glaze prior to the sealant will most likely lessen the durability of the sealant).

the glaze will most likely remove the sealant. What Greg said :2thumbs:

In terms of ease of use, Mother's SG is easier than 3M and #7, or you can try #5.



There are lots of #7 around.. try contacting mackieboy and see if he still has some VM.
 
Glazes are the most untilized product IMHO. Clean the paint (MEN FPII) to take the sealant off. Then use Meg. #3, 5 or 7 or even RMG X 2. Apply your wax and and put your sunglasses on. Add additional layers of wax as you want, but wait 12 hours for wax to cure. Three layers would be great. My setup as of now is Meg #5, #7, M21, and Pin Sourveran. According to McGuiar's their polish 3, 5, 7, will not remove the wax. So for a touch up before a special day I add a coat of their pure polish. Zoom-Zoom
 
so there's really no way for me to apply a glaze over my sealant? :( having a sealant would protect my paint. reason i like to use glaze is for more gloss that my sealant can't provide. hmmm...
 
why don't you use a carnauba instead if you'd like to use a glaze underneath? It'll look just as nice :)

or you can prep your paint well to achieve the gloss that you're looking for and skip the glaze.
