Need color opinions for brake parts

Looking for ideas on what color to paint my calipers and the rotor. Not sure what color to get for the calipers. Silver, black ?As you can see, the stock rotor color is rust. Thinking of painting them black. Looking for opinions on colors that won't clash or look ricey. Any suggestions ?

The calipers look pretty good so I'd probably just clean them up and leave them as is. I would probably paint the rotors somewhere between a silver and grey.



Mind you who am I to talk... I have ricey red calipers and coated rotors :)
 
On that car, instead of painting the calipers, I'd polish them up. They would look very sweet that way. Otherwise, if you are set on painting them, I'd go with silver. Black would just hide them. Red would look ricey.
 
I would go silver. I like painting them because it makes the color more uniform and smoothes out the rough castings and slickens the surface making them MUCH easier to keep clean and maintain.



Hint: Do some filing on rough edges and sanding where needed before painting to make them even smoother.
 
It's hard to beat silver for ease of cleaning.



I actually paint my rotors, (the "hub" and the edge.....not the pad contact area) with hi-temp silver spray paint.



My calipers are red. I brush paint them with "One-Shot" Sign Paint. Very tough, durable, shiney and LOW-MAINTENANCE.

I got red also. It doesn't stand out really for me. After a while u will notice it sticking out. The other color I was going to pick was silver but that the same color as stock. I have a 1st gen cl with 16 inch wheels. I suppose if I got 19s with really thin spokes they would stand out. But I do recommend painting them. It a lot easier to clean.
 
I was somewhat kidding about red being ricey... the calipers on my car are red :)

I think either left alone or silver would suit the style of the TypeS though.
 
Thanks for the responses guys. I thought I posted a reply, maybe there was a hiccup. Hope I didn't offend anyone with the rice comment. Red looks hot on those pics. Don't think it would be a good color combo in my case though. :)
