Need Better Compound!!!

Me too Rydawg, and since I've only tried Megs, Optimum, XMT, Malco, and HiTemp - I'll take your word on the rest.

My favourite compound is Menzerna Powergloss, but it´s not so aggresive. 3M fast cut is a little bit more aggresive.

My favorite 2 compounds are 3M Extra Cut (06060) and Mark-V MV-350 for sure.

As with most compounds, they both dust a little. I clean my pads constantly throughout the process, which greatly reduces the amount of dust.

WOW! We seem to think a like.

p.s. See you at the shop.

Mark-V MV350 is a great compound. I usually buy quarts to try different brands

but had to get a gallon of this as it makes life easier for me. The cut and finish

is very good (almost like M105). But what makes this compound better and more

efficient is the longer working time, low dusting and it doesn't cake up my wool

pad as much; this is a HUGE time saver. And in a body shop environment, the

time saved is dramatic, especially for multiple panels (sanded 2000).

M105 is great, via KBM on the PC or on the rotary. With the rotary and PFW, it just melts away the swirls and RIDS (when the pad is properly primed and you know how to use the product properly), while leaving very shallow buffer swirls that come out easily with the next step. It is amazing how fast it works, but it does dust quite a bit. Make sure to check work with IPA.

On the PC, again when the pad is properly primed and you know how to work the product (KBM), it saves me hours vs. traditional compounds. The finish left is nothing short of stellar, requiring only a single follow up polishing step to be LSP ready.
