Need An AIO Suggestion

Hello all,



So here is the situation. I don’t know about you all, but I have a lot of customers who want just the basics, such as wash, wax, vacuum, and interior detailed. Now I have no problem with this and I usually complete this type of job in about 2 hours. No matter how hard you try to talk them into a one step or complete polish, it is just not going to happen. A lot of these vehicles are on a six month rotation with me and I cannot get it through to the customer that maintenance washes and a shorter rotational period would help to keep the car looking its best, and to make matters worse most of these vehicles are darker in color. Most customers will wash it themselves, disregarding proper wash technique, and the next time I see it, the car is worse off than before. It is Frustrating to say the least.



So my question here is what AIO you would suggest for this type of detail. I need something with decent cleaning ability, filling ability, and that offers some protection. The product will be applied via Porter Cable. I want to give the customer the best overall outcome that is possible.



Any suggestions you might have I would greatly appreciate.

i would like to see some photo's of the results that people have achieved with different AIO's. I'm sure scottwax will chime in but i have had some pretty good success with Optimum Poli-Seal.



I am right in your boat too. Most people don't want the full correction though i have had a fair amount of them it's not the most common. People want a clean car plain and simple especially now days with the economy and even worse that i'm in Hawaii.

Have you though about a dedicated polish, and then a WOWA such as UPGP or OOS?



I made the transition a while back from XMT360 and Megs D151 a while back and havent looked back. You can get much better protection for a very very minimal amount of added time/work.

Are you serious! What are the photos going to prove. They don`t show anything useful. You can`t tell crap from a photo. Even if you could it would say more about the detailer`s skill than the product he used.



Any ways I find Clearkote Vanilla Moose to be a great one step. Also been using Autoglym Sarin Resin Polish lately and liking it very much.
 
One of my customers is a small dealership. I just prep the cars for sale-$75.

(wash polish wax. Interior= Fullinterior service including carpet shampooing).



Besides me, they have their Own cuople of products hangin around and one that really isn't half bad is this one. From car beauty pro, its cheap, it fills, and it protects. Now I would never use this on a high end vehicle, but this sounds like itll work for your dilemma.

I have been toying with several AIO's and I'm starting to lean towards that method except I haven't found a really good 1 step polish I like. I can't seem to get a good amount of cleaning (don't want to clay), a decent bit of cut (more than 205) and to finish out well enough.



As far as the AIO's go, there is no one answer. For me:

Cars in great shape (only minor marring or light swirls): Poliseal

Cars in average shape: Megs D151

Cars that need repaints or 3 step polishing: Megs #66



Poliseal's Achilles heal is cleaning ability, if the paint is a bit rough and boderline in need of a claying, I'll reach for the D151. Megs #66 makes turds shine.

Ha Ha yeah I meant Super Resin Polish. Don't know what I was thinking. I just started using it so it's new to me and that's my excuse :chuckle:

Heh heh, I thought maybe it was the smell of the stuff (which I actually like).
 
Thanks for all of the suggestions guys, I really appreciate it.



I'm liking the looks of Megs #66, since most of the vehicles I maintain could benefit from its aggressive nature. I might pick up some Megs #151 while I'm at it just for good measure.

i like this, have a few bottles of it from the BOGO offer a while back.





I use it on the wifes minivan, because she keeps crap care of it...and thinks the local gas station wash is a good car wash because she spends the extra 2-3 bucks on the "best" wash. :LOLOL







anyhow, I want to try the D151, as I have heard great things about it, and I like the detailers line of products anyway.
 
I just ordered Megs 151 and decided to try it out on my neglected VW GTI.



This 50/50 was done with a new LC Hydro tech 5.5" Cyan pad via PC.

Car was washed with Megs Gold Class and was not clayed.



I will probably try it again when my makita comes in Tuesday to see if I can get better results. (my old rotary broke)
