Hello, I've been detailing for a while and I figured a long time ago it was easier on the wallet to ask for advice than it was to buy and try everything under the sun. The issue today is getting the best pad or pads to apply a LSP. Now, I like BFWD and as ya'll know, use it once and you just dedicated a pad just for that, and that would be a Gold LC one. I really have no complaints with that, but it's wearing out and looking at the choices from LC - you got Gray, Blue, Red, (in 5.5") and Gold in 6.5", all in that pimply pattern, I prefer flat. Then, no 5.5" flat, have to get 6.5" you have Blue, Gray, and Crimson. Really? I'm getting a little choice overload here. I have those Red pads (thin, pimply ones) and they're not up to my style shall we say. I'm ham fisted when it comes to applying wax and I know it, too damn old to change so don't go there. I use Autoglym HD right much too and that stuff will bleed right through those red pads and give your pretty blue velcro backing plate a nice coat of hard to get off wax.
So, need opinons - looking for something 5.5" preferably, stout enough to apply wax/sealant and not soak it up, but gentle so as not to mar the paint. Like Ross Perot - I'm all ears!
Thanks
Lou
