Need a new name

Privitize it
I've been drawing some blanks on a name. I currently have a dba under "mobile magic" but I think it sounds too "commercial". That and I'd like to possibly open a fixed location so the "mobile" negates itself. I'm looking for something that's sounds higher class and up scale. I have one recommendation on "5-star auto detailing", not bad but generic. Any ideas? I may toss in a sample of Meg's new #21 if I like your idea.

I sent a PM.

I like the Mobile magic name. Even if you have a fixed location. Something like Mobile Magic Detail (or) ing Shop. It's a nice play on words. It might be confusing though.

What exactly is megs #21? I looked on the website and it wasn't there.

NXT for the professional line. Different formulation but similar results.

Scrub- There's a shop in the next town called "Hands of Magic" that I used to work at, which is where I got the name from. I've always wanted to buy the place and thought long term of having a mobile set up with the fixed shop. So the Mobile Magic would be just the mobile unit of Hands of Magic. I've since realized that I'd be paying thousands for someone elses reputaion when I have a good one of my own, the shop is kind of a "once over" place and I don't want to be associated with what I think is sub par work. Maybe I'll just keep the rights to Mobile Magic and start another one under a different name. I still may be forced to buy a shop due to lack of good locations. Decisions, decisions.....

detailing dreams

the detailers edge

down to the last detail

those are a few off of the top of my head

How about
"Bring On The Showtime Detailing"
"Showtime Professional Detailing"
"Vehicle Detailing 101"
"Dream Detailing Shop"

Just a few off of my head. Hey would you need any help??

Mark

Showtime isn't a bad name, got to think a bit on that. I used to have a SHO which is where my name comes from if anybody was wondering why it's spelled wrong....it's not. :)

Liberty- I may be needing some help. I've got the dealership where I'm at now, and 2 other possibles. They're in Medina, Brockport, and Batavia, which is kind of far from Niagra Falls. I do plan on trying to land some jobs at office parks in Amherst which is a bit more convienent for you. My help right now is unreliable at best but I want to make sure the work is there before bringing on an employee. Thanks for the offer and if I do get over my head a couple days, I'll definatly let you know.

Swirly Clean!

Heh, j/K

One thing I read a long time ago is that your business name should include some type of "hint" as to what your business does so people will know without even looking any further (ie, something about clean/waxed vehicles). Sounds like almost all of your suggestions are like this anyway, but just an fyi! 3M got away with this a long time ago...hopefully you can be that big and not even care...But I'm trying to think smaller scale! Good luck!

Mike

Not sure if any of these are taken, but these few just popped in to my head. They can all be followed up with CAR WASH:

CARisma
All Washed Up
Car Buffs
CaRaVaN
Details (or Little Details or Every Little Detail)
Polished Image
C U Shine
Spark L & Shine (or Sparkle and Shine, but probably used already)
CARess

Give my brain some time to wake up and kick in, may come up with something more :)

"mobile magic"

Actually, it sounds like you are a magician who travels in a van from birthday party to birthday party. :moon: huhu

Whatever name you choose, make sure it doesn't use any misspelled words like "Stylz" instead of "Styles" or spellings that look like they were taken from license plates. Older folks see words like that and cringe.

Also, make sure your new name conveys clearly what it is that your business does. Until you have a high level of brand recognition associated with your business name, people will try to garner info about what it is that you do, solely based upon your name.

I like standard sounding, clean names that convey a message. Here are a few of my suggestions;

Finesse Detailing
(your town name here)'s Best Detailing
The Car Spa
