So true. Lysol directions even say that the surface must stay wet with Lysol for a certain amount of time for germs to be killed. Using the cleaning techniques that most of us do that almost never happens.
Lysol and other disenfect chemicals need a 10 minute dwell time. There are chemicals that will kill germs on contact, but they may not be good for you.
