neatitems.com Microfiber groupbuy - Any interest?

Give Neatitems a break. Everyone is entitled to a little time off. All my neatitem orders have arrived within a few days, so that is the rule, not the exception. Steve Hall has promptly answered all my emails and service has been better than most. Many internet businesses post holiday and vacation times when the business will be closed. So maybe Steve should have posted a notice saying he will be out of the "store". For the price and the quality of the MF cloths, cut them a little slack.

They should have told Brian they would not ship until late when he inquired about the price of the towels, they knew they would not be there to ship them if he ordered them. It's not very ethical to take someones money and then tell them they have to wait until you get back from vacation. If they would have let him know before hand that would be a different story.

They sent my order throught the Post Office, so that is why it is pathetically slow. But, their prices and quality is good and that is the ONLY reason I am willing to wait.

welcome to the wonderful world of towel sales :D

If you send 10 towels USPS, make sure to add the tracking, it's like $4.90 and it'll get there in 1-3 days (not Canada). Even packaging can be tricky, but I seemed to find a good way with the duralite tearproof, waterproof envelopes, I use.

Yes, it is difficult to please everyone, yes it is time consuming to do everything, yes it is difficult to go on vacation, and yes it tedious to get everything going correctly. But to spread the joy of detailing and really help people get their cars shiny (and make a little profit on the side) makes it all worth it

Good luck, Steve

<strong class='bbc'>well in that case, can we please increase the order so everyone that was late can still make it? im sure we can get 200 sold easily and with an even better groupbuy discount.

but of course its bmduncan decision, hes doing all the work here for us:up [/b]</blockquote>
This is a good point. I think there's 10 more of us that wouldn't mind picking up 10 of these towels each. Also, that might bring the overall cost for everyone down if we can negotiate a better deal.

showroom lincoln,

It was rather odd that Steve didn't mention he was out of town and would have such a huge shipping delay until after I placed my order. He was very professional in my correspondence though so I'll try to cut him some slack.

Ng luder and others,

The next break on the microfibers occurs at 300 units and it's only a 10 cent break so I'm just going to stick with the 100 for now. I'm sure someone else will want a batch soon and take the initiative to do a group buy since it drives the price down so much more.

Yosteve,

Thanks for the heads up on the shipping costs. I figured it would be in that range and I'll probably add delivery confirmation too.

I don't mind waiting! Patience is a virtue, right?!

Although- my wife just called and told me the Blackfire I ordered just arrived....hmmmm, maybe I should take off early and go home!!!! :p

I've had nothing but good experiences and emails with Steve. He's even sent me stuff for free. Great guy! I was one of the very first people to use his towels and I was pretty impressed with the quality of his towels considering the towels. If there's a better deal to be had, other than YoSteve, I don't know about it. So I would also cut the guy some slack. Laters

I want to sponsor a group buy just so I can open a box with 100 -- ONE HUNDRED -- plush Microfiber towels in it. Wow. What a feeling. :D

When is the next group buy? Anyone?

BTW, the towels at yosteve.com are $6.50 for 10... these are the same ones that CMA carries, correct? I don't have any of these, just neatitems.com... What is the difference? Any opinions?

Josiah [/b]</blockquote>I have some of both towels and I really prefer the quality of YoSteve's towels. You can just tell it's a higher quality towel. Examples: Ripping tag off. MT: No problem. Neatitem: ripped couple threads....

The backing is just thicker on the MT. I have recent MTs and a very recent mint green Neatitem towel and if you rub them back and forth between your fingers you can feel the backing of the neatitems shifting, which I don't like at all. It's just a lower quality feel.

Another thing I like more about MT's are the edges; the serging feels to be of much higher quality and doesn't start having little fluffies until much later than the neatitems.

The only thing I can give to the neatitems towels is they feel a little softer at first but after a few washings they're about the same as MT's. My pick is MT's but others have had good luck with neatitems. BTW....I hear there will be much nicer MT's coming out soon so keep your ears open..I can't wait!

Steve's towels are quite a bit plusher in my opinion. This premise especially holds true after using both towels for a few months. They remain my favorite overall towel. Period. Laters
