I have had the opportunity to go this car show in past few years. It is nice especially since it is on the grounds of Stan Hywet Hall. I believe tours of the house are available as well, which is nice for anyone that has never been there.

Description: Father's Day Car Show at Stan Hywet
One of the oldest car shows in America, the 52nd Classic, Antique, & Collector Car Show at Stan Hywet is an annual Father’s Day tradition and takes place on Sunday, June 21 from 9am – 4:00pm. This show features classic, antique and collector cars –more than 350 automobiles manufactured between 1896 and 1978 will be on display in 25 separate classes.
Judges will award prizes in each class for first, second, and third place.

Please note: Dogs are NOT allowed on the property today and there is no Woof Walks. Woof Walks Sundays for owners and their dogs resumes next Sunday, June 28th.

Theme
The theme for 2009 is “Year of the Oldsmobile.”
Soap Box Derby Cars
All American Soap Box Derby cars are on display in the Carriage House. The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program which has run nationally since 1934. The World Championship finals will be held on July 25, 2009 at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio.
“Goodyear Racing Package” Raffle
The Racing Package Raffle is a unique opportunity from The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. The winner and guest will spend a day touring Goodyear’s Tech Center and building a racing tire. The winner also receives a trip for two (including accommodations) to the Allstate 400 on July 26, 2009. Tickets are $40 each or 3 for $100 and just 500 tickets are being sold. The drawing takes place at Stan Hywet’s Gala benefit on June 26, 2009 and the winner need not be present.
Admission
General admission to Car Show is $10 for non-members, $7 for members, $2 for non-member student, and $1 for member students.
Parking
There is handicap parking in the Carriage House parking lot (state hangtag required), but all other parking is off-site with free parking and shuttle service all day.
Please park at one of the following locations: Firestone High School (333 Rampart Ave), Todaro’s Party Center (1820 Akron-Peninsula Road), Essex Elementary School (1160 Winhurst Drive) and the Riverpark Building (1653 Merriman Road).
