Original NaviWax had a tendency to dry out and become granular when it got old - but it still works good. I have not experienced this with the Ultimate. Both are excellent waxes, they are really something special - because they combine durability, looks, and ease of use.
Most waxes excel in one category - few are class leaders in all.
Yes, it's from Japan. The closest common wax I can compare it to is 915. But, it's more buttery and slicker. Durability and beading are as good as or better than 915.
The tin is huge - I think it's 8oz (240 gm). It has a chemical like smell that is unique to this product. The tin's lid is press fit like 915.
It's easier to apply and looks a tad better than Synergy. It's < half the cost - with 98% of the durability. It's just a super hydrophobic and durable wax that's enjoyable to apply. Works great on glass as well. It can even be applied to plastics - no staining.
Dunno why this never really became popular in the States.
