Nattys “spit shine” or QD+/SW+

I read some where on the boards about people using PB SW with Nattys for a “spit shine”. I tried it and like it. Wow is it easy to apply and remove.

My question though is how does this compare to using QD+. I have some (yes the old stuff) but don’t find myself using it very often and now with the ease of Nattys “spit shine” it seems almost easier than QD+.

Maybe I just don’t know all of the tricks for applying and removing QD+.

What are the pros and cons to use one product over the other?

You can use QD/QW+ in a similar manner as the spit shining method, since the "spit' is already in the QD+. You can wipe it on, let it haze and remove, you can work it until it has almost disappeared and remove it, or you can wipe it on, wipe it off without waiting to haze. With the spit shine, you could even use more QD+ to help wipe off the previously applied QD+.
Another benefit of QD/QW+ is that it has some cleaners in it, which Natty's doesn't, so you can remove some build-up/contaminants when using it instead of just adding more protection/gloss.
The only big drawback to QD/QW+ (IMHO) is the white dots that end up on trim, glass, etc. if you spray it onto the car. I spray it onto the cloth and avoid this problem.

Great response i have nothing else to say lol :bigups:bigups:bigups:10:

i use the s+g instead of s+w for spit shining. First i put the s+g in the refrigerator or cooler (learned that it works better if its cold holland_patrick thought me that) apply the wax to the car let haze mist the cold sg on the panel then buff with a mf to the shine that pleases me.

I think S&G with the Natty's Blue gives the wettest and deepest combo for spit shining, were as QD+ as Bigleegr below says will do more cleaning and leave a glossier finish.

I still like QD+ but yes the spit shining with Natty's is about as fast without any cleaning abilities.
I too prefer to spray it on a rag when getting close to trim , glass or the cowl , but prefer to spray it on large panels.
