for light metallic paints....

i'm planning to try the poorboys products after consuming my current products...

Sealant --> EX-P

Wax --> Orig or Blue wax?

these are the only products available here... would love to try Zaino but importing it from SG will be very expensive. :(

In all honesty, there really isn't a difference between Natty Blue and regular Natty. People say get the blue for darker colored vehicles, but I really do not see a difference between the two.

When I spoke with Bob @ Danase he said exactly the same. That can be something because he even sells the CG XXX under its own brand name. He definitely knows the product.

IMO Nattys blue on my silver Jetta makes the metallic flakes pop more and the silver is brighter but not really wet looking, while the Nattys will make the silver a little darker (grayer) but give you a really deep and wet look.

Yeah, I can not see much difference when using the two. I actually prefer regualr Natty's over the Blue but to be honest, I sell much more of the Blue than regualr Naty's so it could just be me.

I have natty's white...and I have Danase XXX wax....and the XXX actually looked better on the dark blue Metalic paint on a Ford truck....it gave more pop to the flake...and a wetter look...I would get the Danase XXX wax and get the speed glaze also...the combo is very wild looking....gives extreme wetness and depth...the speed glaze is a very unique product...it is a acrylic formula and it works with both sealants and waxes...

If you want a very wet look..try the XXX and speed glaze from Danase or from any one selling Chemical Guys near you.....you will not be disapointed....

email Danase..he may ship to your country..never know...he is great to deal with

Thanks for the compliments on the wax. I just want to clairify it is Danase Paste Wax before I get a ton of pm's asking when I will have xxx in. ;)

Actually, I used Natty's Blue and regular Natty's on my Lapis Blue Metallic car and noticed something interesting: The regular Natty's seemed to fill and hide minor swirls and micro-marring, while the Natty's Blue did nothing to conceal any imperfections. The overall look was the same, though. Also, Blue seemed a little harder to remove that original.

I second that! :bigups

Great guy Bob, shipped to Portugal and I bet he'll ship anywhere you want to!

Thanks again Bob

I have been using Nattys regular on my light color cars and Natty's Blue on all of my darks. I love the smell of Natty's Blue. Makes me think Bazooka bubble gum.. :xyxthumbs

I want my silver to look as wet as possible (silver doesn't get wet easily :( ), and I only have natty's blue, but I have both EX and EX-P. Should i use the EX and just keep the blue for my dad's cars and buy another wax from the store?

Generally EX looks better on darker colors and EX-P looks better on lighter colors. I would use two coats of EX-P (12-24 hours apart) and see what you think. You can then add a coat of NB on a panel and see how you like it. I think EX-P looks pretty good, it just isn't as durable as some of the other sealers out there...... but it is very easy to apply/remove.

so... i'm reading that there is no big difference between orig and blue... if there is no price difference, what will you buy (still thinking of the light colored metallic car)...

where'd my reply go?? I also can't tell the difference, but i reach for Natty's blue a lot more (actually, always :)) makes me want to chew it up :shocked

p.s.

do you happen to have the shop's pricelist? I tried contacting the person Steve told me to and no reply as to the price until now. I get my stuff from Ranney, but it would be nice to see some stuff around here :2thumbs:
