Natty's blue hard to take off!!

??? I'm stumped by this thread. I have never had trouble removing any of the Natty's waxes. Their ease of removal is a feature in fact.

I think it comes down to experience of putting waxes on thin:)

There are three things I can think of...a) it might have been too cold... b)you put the NB on a little too thick ... c) the EX-P had not cure which means you were really buffing off both products, thus making it harder to remove.
EX-P , as is the case with most sealants, should be allowed to cure for at least 24 hours before topping.

Totally agree. After I learned that I had to let my EX-P/ sealants cure for 24 hrs I stopped adding wax as my last stage soon after applying the sealant.

You've already got plenty of useful info, but what the heck, I'll throw in my .02....

When applying Natty's Blue, I always try to apply as thin as possible (actually with any product it's best to do this), and I use Poorboy's Spray & Gloss to aid in removal. The S&G also pretty much eliminates any streaking if present.

Matt,
this is my exact process. I think the S & G adds a real nice pop to PBs or whatever product your using for that matter..

this thread Made me get out My Natty's Blue to see if I could make it hard to take off. Did one half of my hood in the sunshine and left it on for over an hour. Used a MF towels to wipe it down. Made one pass over the entire area of application. Turned MF towels over and wiped again. VOILA, product gone. Area shiny! I am at a loss...?

cwad your conditions may not have been the same as the poster. Cold, humidity, heat etc.knowing your vehicle the wax had a nice clean, smooth, slick surface/panels to work off of,no contaminates for the wax to bond with..

Yes I really did! But I only did half the hood. Just wanted to see. Normally I would have pulled it in the garage to get it out of the sun. Instead I did it in the driveway on clear sunny day about 60 degree's. On a black truck. The paint was hot from the sun while I applied it and when I buffed it off.

I had a hard time taking off Nattys Blue today as well. I suspect two things:

1) I put it on too thick, and
2) I moistened my applicator with water to apply. I typically find this makes things harder to get off later. Lesson learned (again).

EDIT: suspicions confirmed. Just went out to the garage to practice, and if I start with a dry applicator and apply an ulta thin coat (it's really amazing how little you need to apply a coat), it comes off like, well, like Nattys I guess, which is to say easily.

i dunno know, you could be right. everything seems to be coming along just fine in regards to both of the nattys, wouldn't you say :image ;)

I only used the Nattys Blue once. I applied it a little thick when I started on the hood. I then started to thin it out as much as possible. I did the whole truck and then started the wipe down process. I started on the hood as it was the first to be applied. It was a little hard to remove. After that I went to the areas that I started to apply it thinner. Viola! It came off much easier.
I agree that part of the problem may have been not letting the sealant cure long enough. I let the 2 Coats of EX cure 24 hrs between coats and it was the best finish I have ever seen. I am on the Poorboys road for sure.

I have never had a hard time taking either Natty's off, I even applied it thick a few times just to see, it just wiped off.
