Natty's Blue Clouding on Paint

I spent a good while on my car this last weekend. It is a Black 2004 Cadillac CTS-V. I used SSR1, Menzerna FPII, 2 coats of UPP, and finished up with Natty's Blue. When I finished buffing off the Natty's Blue in the garage, everything looked great. However, when I opened up the garage door and let the sun hit the car, the paint started to cloud up.

There are a couple of reasons I can think of that this happened. First, I applied the first coat of UPP, 8 hours later the second coat, and then 8 hours after that the coat of NB. So, maybe the UPP didn't have enough time to cure. The second reason I can think of was that the temperatures in Northern California this weekend were near 115 F, so maybe the wax broke down in the heat. When I first noticed the clouding, it was on my rear bumper. I wiped it down with a microfiber towel and it went away for a couple seconds and came back.

What do you think I am doing wrong?? Will this continue to happen after I wash the car?? What can I do to make the clouding go away??

Thanks for any replies.

Sounds like you have the answers cure time on some paints take more time one day is really the time period....What is happening is a bonding with the UPP and the Natty's...t eh solvents in the sealant had not evaporate and they where then sealed over with the wax....your black paint also will show everything, had that been white or silver you would not have seen it as much.....I would wash the car and dry really well and then apply another coat of Netty's over that this weekend

Lastly what part of NO CA are you in???

I'm in Sonoma County by Santa Rosa

I think you have a few variables that can cause this effect and you've already mentioned them. Sealants need to cure before topping as the oils of the paste wax have probably combined with the acrylics of the sealant and you are having a chemical reaction. The heat and humidity that you are dealing with has also become a factor in this but to what extent will not be known since there are too many other variables. I would give it a nice cool wash and then use a QD and see what you have then. At worst you might have to go back to SSR1 or the FPII and start from scratch and give the UPP a chance to set up before topping. Let us know what you find :D

Thanks guys. I appreciate the replies. I sure would hate to go back to the beginning and start over. I might just deal with it. As I said, when I wiped it down with a microfiber towel, it went away though just for a short while. If I wait long enough, the NB will go away on its own anyway.

Also, I am from the Sacramento area, Rocklin to be exact.

Some carnaubas will bloom in hot weather or strong sun light. Rewipeing will take care of it , sometimes a qd will help.
