Natty Blue vs. Liquid Souveran

I've got a Black Sapphire 335 coupe on the way and I'm new to detailing- so thanks in advance for providing some expert advice! I would like to go with the Pinnacle Souveran paste, but not sure that I want to spend $80 for wax right now (ok- strike that- I do want to spend $80 for wax, but my desire to not get kicked out of my house by my wife is a bit greater at the moment). So, in looking at less expensive alternatives, which would be better on my black beauty: Natty Blue or liquid Souveran? (I did a search and didn't find that particular comparison. I have been reading these threads for weeks, though, and gotten a wealth of great information!) Thanks again!

For the money, Natty's Blue is outstanding on dark colors. I couldn't tell the difference between Souveran Paste and NB after i applied them side by side on my truck. Souveran does go on/off easier though, but by no means is NB difficult to apply or remove.

Don't know for sure - but the shills over on AG Forum are all ravin about Natty's Red being the next greatest thing. Personally I wouldn't use a paste wax, I like liquid for ease of use. But, if I was you, I'd only spend 15 bucks on wax, take the rest and take your wife out for dinner at a nice place, that will score big points with her and - like they always told me (if momma's happy, then everybody is happy!)

I agree Junebug,,

I will be trying some Natty's blue this weekend, , I also Like S100 and you

can buy that local,

LS did nothing for me on black... S100 i though sucked also... Collinite 457 works great and it long lasting. I have all three natty's and I like them also. I though the best of RDF 47 version one

So your buying a new car but can't justify spending $80 on one of the finest paste waxes available? I would jump on with both feet. If you don't buy the PS you'll always wonder what the car would look like with it. Go to autogeek.net and type in Autopia in the promotion code and you'll get 10% off.

Ok Dr. RX8 what didn't you get that he's on a budget? I know I don't lie awake at night thinking about never trying Souveran. For the money NB is a great wax. If you can get it the red is even better. I am no AG shill by the way, just commenting from personal experience.

You aren't serious are you? :grinno:

Natty's blue looks great and works wonderfully for the money.

PS has a very short lifespan if the car sits outside; whereas Natty's is considerably more durable.

You really can't go wrong with either; but Natty's is definitely the most 'bang for your buck'.

Great example of how opinions vary on products.

S100 Carnauba, Easy to find, good price, good results, easy to use, enough durability for me, doesn't stain black trim,

I will be trying Blue this weeked,

I just got my bottle of Natty's Blue for my Black car...I too can't justify the $80 for wax. (that will burn off quick in the Texas heat and humidity) You'll love the bubble gum smell if anything! Just remember thin coats! you don't need to much! keep us posted

EDIT: there is a promotion code for autogeek?!?! Where can I find it...Man I wish i knew about this before I ordered!

code is autopia. I believe a lot of the online retailers use this code. might as well try it whenever you order something.

NB is absolutely OUTSTANDING on dark paints. Prep the surface really well first (clay, polish, glaze), apply the NB and wait for it to cure well (takes a few hours). Last point is extremely important. It needs to cure to look its best.

Read his original post. He said he has a wife. I'm sure many of us have better ways to spend $1800, or even $80. With all the products you buy, one would think you would have already found something that you liked enough to keep using.

Ok in his post he says "I would like to go with the Pinnacle Souveran paste" I have NB and NRED. They are fine waxes. My point did not come across like I wanted. If he could afford getting Pin. Souveran to get it. That is the product he wants. If not Natty's is the way to go. I even gave him the cost saving tip of using AUTOPIA as a promotional code when checking out. Sorry if I offended anyone but PS is the better wax. But by how much and at what cost is what the consumer desides. ZOOM-ZOOM !!!!!

You didn't read his post carefully enough then. He wants Souveran, but it's too expensive for him (and more importantly his wife). That is why the title of his thread is "Natty Blue vs Liquid Souveran".

As for saving money on Autogeek, depending on your order, a better code might be "AGO" which gives you free shipping over $75

Theres a special at AG for DP MAX WAX 2 for $35, its a great deal.

OR PBs NR

OR Pinnacle has a 15% OFF AND FREE shipping on thier website

OR CG Petes 53...

whew...

BlackElantraGT - Your right. This is his first post. The decision should be made between him and his wife. That is important to some. Family first. PK8, if you PM me, I have a extra Natty's Red (unused) that you can buy from me for $20.00 that will include shipping. You can just paypal me the money. Only for PK8. BlackElantraGT, I have found what I will be using from now on. Zymol dropped off some Vintage at my house 2 days ago. But Pin. Souveran will be close by. "As the world turns" ZOOM-ZOOM
