OK, I'm in San Antonio and am going to start a detailing business this summer. I'm trying to think of a name. Here are some ideas (please don't flame, but I am open to honest criticism):

(The area where we live in SA) Detail

(my last name) Automotive Detail

how about:

-

Total, Extreme, Exotic Detailing (tex)

or

(area name) detailing center..... "we pay attention to detail"

or

SA's Perfect detailing ( i copied it from my name NY's perfect detailing)

Not sure if you like them, but that is all i could think of right now

Thats up to you, what ever you plan to offer them as a detailing service. I just got into painting dashboards for the kids in the area that want to compete with the honda civics they own.

(to me they are wasting money, but as long as they pay me who cares)

It your business, time to shine once you open it up.

hey thats a good name to "time to shine detailing center"

I was referring to the exotic part of the name, kinda sounds like erotic.

That would draw business for sure. Topless detailing (I'd have to hire women, of course).

That would bring in tons of business, but the local gov would probably find some way to shut you down.

erotic detailing where our wax is sure to please

erotic detailing where our power washer always works

erotic detailing where your car gets buffed in all the right spots.

dont mean to sound sexual or get any one upset, just though this was funny.

We clean ALL your nooks and crannies....

Seriously,

I would go for something a little more fun and less serious.

"Really Shiny Cars Detailing"

"Totally Anal Car Cleaning Guy"

I don't know - but I think trying to be too serious about it is boring and won't provide a name they remember.

I still like the name "Obsessive Compulsive Detailing" or "OCD" for short. Someone came up with that awhile back and I'm going to steal it one of these days. I've been "ProAuto Detail" for so long that I don't know that I can change in this city. I'll have to wait till I move.

One thing that I did once was combine my name and my buddy's name into the title. Well, they were more like our nicknames. We called it "Guido Dylanovich's Garage and Car Wash". :D We basicly just wrenched on our friend's cars and washed them occasionaly. We got so used to having other people's cars in the driveway on blocks we thought it would be appropriate to name our little shop. lol We even sponsored my brother in a demoliton derby and the announcer had to read it out over the loud speaker. It was kind of funny.

Phil was awesome! His death was a true tragedy.

I couldn't bring myself to name it OCD. Wouldn't people think, "I guess my ____________ (fill the blank with one part of the vehicle, but only ONE part) will be really clean...over and over and over" or "Will it take 5 hours just to get the _________ clean? Imagine how long it will take for the entire vehicle!"

I have a brother-in-law with OCD and one time we got in the back seat of a car and he couldn't buckle his seatbelt "right". He kept doing it over and over until we finally made him switch places to change the routine. He has also been known to clean the bathroom of his apartment over and over with combinations of bleach and multiple cleaners (very dangerous, by the way). He'll get it spotless and then immediately clean it again.

I sure don't want him detailing my vehicle.

Just my .03
