One of the reasons why I started this was to learn some new products that you guys use. Some of you even know how to improvise! For instance, Scottwax, how did you ever discover using woolite and water to clean leather seats?



Also someone mentioned using Zaino Leather conditioner as trim protectant. Another innovation. ;)

When I first started, I detailed a Cadillac De Ville that was only a few weeks old, and the leather care tag was still attached to the driver's headrest, and while going through it, I read that Cadillac recommended using water and Woolite to clean the leather. I tried it and it works great! Dirt cheap and it leaves the leather clean and soft. For the price of a 32 oz bottle of Woolite, mixing it down 6 parts water to 1 part Woolite, I get a gallon and an half of leather cleaner for about $6.

So all you do is just spray that solution and agitate with a towel/applicator? Do you wipe off with a damp rag to rinse the woolite off?

I use a plastic bristle brush, scrub the leather, wipe first with a damp towel, then a dry towel.
 
Awesome. I'll be trying that then. As soon as I finish my Lexol products, I'll just use the woolite and some EO or Lexol conditioner. I also assume that the brush you use is a soft bristle, which I'm gonna have to get.

    Meguiar's Gold Class. 2nd is zaino, distant 3rd is turtle zip wash, the worst out of 4 that i've used is eagle one red stuff.

    Clearkote QS.. Very close seconds are the other qd's i've tried: EOWWS, EFCP. And Zaino Z6 is great on zaino.

    S100 by a longshot. Other waxes I've used: Moose Wax, VM, Fussocoat (utter crap), Nufinish (years ago..)

    VM or moose wax. performance in direct sun is amazing.

    For appearance, Klasse SG. For ease of use, zaino. For durability, It seems that zaino does better.

    Only used 303. Nice product, though i was hoping for more of a darkening effect.

    EF black sapphire, followed closely by 303. Clearkote tire dressing is OK.
