Someone is offering this extractor for $250. I am going to see it on Thursday to test it out. I have no idea what model is it and neither does the seller. Can anyone name this extractor?

I would pass on the deal, if it is that hard to find out the model name how are you ever going to get parts, and even if you do...What big brand company that is proud of their equipment doesn't put their logo or name on their equipment?

itis a re branded mytee grandprix HP2

it's a fine machine you just need to test the heaters ie intank and inline. FWIW i currently own one and used it for many a car with out problems

used price is more realistic at 450-600. at that price besure to check every thing.

That is an old Mytee A4001 or A5001. I think it has a 3 stage vac, 100 psi pump, and 1000W heater. It also appears to have a pre-heat setting, which makes it at least 8 years old. Last year we built with preheaters was 1999.

And yes, the machine is naked. Someone has lost it's stickers. But, it is not a private labeled unit - we actually made them in blue at one time. Before that (1996-1998) they were fire engine red.

It appears that some water has gotten into the electric area, as you can tell by the residue in the switch covers. I would definitely run it for a while to make sure everything checks out.

Hope this helps.

Well I bought the extractor today and I love it! The water is scalding hot and the vacuum seems fine. The only problem was the attachment spray nozzle would not spray. The seller told me it may be clogged. I took it back to my shop, disassembled the spray nozzle and as he said, it was clogged. Cleaned it, and went to work on some mats. Can't believe how great the machine works. Best money I have spent for detailing equipment. My next step is to buy a TR5 steam cleaner
