Name One Pad Please

i like the simplicity of megs pads selection, 1 cutting, 1 polishing and 1 finishing..



ide like to grab 1 of each , preferably from LC in the 5 inch seletion,which has many to choose from..



so if u had 1 cutting pad u could always count on, 1 polishing pad that u can always count on and 1 finishing pad that u can count on which would it be..



im thinking LC orange(cutting), white(polishing) and black (fineshing)will be equivalent to megs cutting, polishing and finishing pads



what do u say?
 
I use the LC line of pads, yellow, orange, white, black, and blue. But I do find that I use the orange, white, and black the most. You should be good with that. Although some might tend to use the green rather than the white. I have not tried the green though. Just my .02.

i ordered a green, white and blue for starters..im debating whether or not i can use an orange, as i dont really do much cutting more "heavy polishng" as the green one is said for, polishing and waxing..
 
I use all of them but the Orange is the most versatile as it leaves very little to no haze and often finishes LSP ready, depending on your compound/polish and still does a nice amount of correction. I recommend finishing i.e final polishing with the white and I apply wax with the blue.

the green is less aggresive then the orange corect, wouldnt the green finish up just as clear?



sorry for all te questions, just trying to get the main idea down with these pads..
 
Typically but I think it would do less correction. I have only used the green once so maybe others can chime in with more experience.

Green is for heavy polishing, and orange is light cutting. They might sound almost the same, but they're not. I would recommend to get the yellow, orange, white and maybe black for waxes(if you apply them by machine).
 
so what would the orange be able to do that the green couldnt and vice versa, using the same product like #80 or #83, or ssr 1 and ssr 3 or 2.5..

The orange will be able to cut faster with those. With ssr1, i'd use a green/white.

I agree as that's what I go with. The yellow and white gets the most use as the orange is for when I do some heavy correction. I'll use the black to apply glazes like RMG and VM.
