NAIAS (Detroit) 2013 Detailer Meet

My wife is teaching a course that day. I'm going to have to see if I can get someone to watch the kids now that I know a firm date. I will make every effort to attend.

Well, my plan is to go through the auto show in the morning (probably get there around 9:30-10:00) and then meet up with everyone at Hockeytown at 2:00 for a late lunch/etc. What others do regarding the show (going before, after, or not at all) is up to you guys. I will PM my cell # to folks later in the week so if anyone is at the show before the meet we can hook up there ahead of time if anyone wants. Unfortunately it isn't looking like my source for discounted NAIAS passes is going to come through this year.
 
Dang it, just found out today that I need to work this weekend. I was looking forward to hanging out with you guys but can't pass up work in January in Michigan. Sometime this summer though.

Understandable; I just hope you'll be in a heated garage, it's COLD out there!
 
My client for the weekend confirmed so if any of you guys want to hang out and watch Marc Harris play with his high dollar paint meter on the 911 we're working on....come on by! We'll be around all day/night Saturday & Sunday.

That's perfect for me. I'm actually going through it Friday with my father so meeting for lunch suits me fine!

No worries Richard; it's a long haul for you to get here, and as busy as you've been it's perfectly understandable. Hopefully the next time we get a meet together it will be warm, and we'll have some stuff to work on!

My uncle was sick earlier this week, and we're still not sure if he will be coming with me or not. So for the rest of us, is anyone else NOT going to be able to make it?



I'm halfway wondering at this point if we should meet up at the auto show in the morning, and then head up to Troy where David and Marc will be working... maybe if we find someplace close by, they can take a lunch break?

Also if anyone along the way would want to ride along they are more then welcome.Thinking Ft.Wayne ,Muncie etc,.

I'll PM you with my cell # shortly; by tomorrow I will know if my uncle is coming down from Grand Rapids to tag along, so we can nail down a time.
 
I'm still on the fence... With the approaching snow, I'm not sure if it's worth the risk.

Hopefully the roads will be cleared up by Saturday AM.... but we'll have to see. If the roads are too nasty I won't be out there driving either.

Clear. Low of 12F. Winds from the NNW at 5 to 15 mph.







If this F-250 4x4 diesel can't get through then the show will be closed anyway. hahaha.
 
Well guys, unfortunately it looks like the writing is on the wall... I'm going to have to cancel for tomorrow too. Having some issues with a job that I just don't think I can get completely resolved tonight, so I will have to stick around here and work on things tomorrow so they're completed by the deadline.



Paul, Chris, Alex, Mike... if you guys still end up getting together tomorrow with David/Marc, have a great time! We'll have to put together something in the spring when it's warm and we can actually do some detailing.

Messaged David and he and Marc are not going but will be busy at the shop so guys Chris and I will take a rain check and try later to meet up with everyone. :(
