'Been lurking around for a while, learned more in a few months here than a few years trying to maintain my own cars... :up

So here I break the ice with a few pics of my car. She's on Meguiar's full line, I'm fairly happy with the results. Interior is on 303 since another member reffered it to me, just fantastic.

I have no idea what size you people like pics to be around here, so here's a shot at it, sorry if they are too big! 1998 Ford Contour SVT with a few enhancements.

Pascal, NICE RIDE !!!! :D

I love those rims. Hmmmm..I wonder if those would fit on my Grand Prix.

Hey, I got a question. When I posted my pics, it came up as a link instead of an image. How did you post your pictures. I used the "img" code inside of the brackets, then pasted my properties then the "/img" afterwards and it only comes up as a link.

I don't have this problem on other sites.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Orlando

Gotta use vB Code. Just hit the IMG button above the area where you type and plug in the url in there. The script does the rest for you.

Thanks for the props BTW, I'm sure you could find a bolt pattern that fits your GP. They are ACE Spades.

Great Job, and nice car!

I "used" to be a HUGE fan of the entire line of Meguiar's products myself. In fact, back in the day, there wasn't a Meguiar's product that I used that I didn't like! Oh well, it was time to move to bigger and better things.....;)

Keep up the nice work!

:wavey

Indeed, I feel like I'm swimming in a sea of polymer sealant followers among my fellow car enthusiasts.

...Yet I fail to appreciate Zaino's optical superiority on my Ford Metallic Silver Frost paint. Side-by-side comparos on cars of the same year and paint code proved my Meguiars job to be absolutely adequate, even edging out Zaino in the sparkle department under bright sunlight. Both did give off different tones of silver but I certainly could not say one was "better" than the other..

I am sold on polymers though, and I'm actually looking forward to owning a car that responds better to them. Granted the durability should be a big factor but it is somewhat outweighed by the off-the-shelf availability of many Meguiars products in Canada. People say Zaino lasts longer but they still spend their Saturdays layering it on... just like I seem to do with wax. ;)

Boils down to the final result. My paint doesn't heat up enough to have the wax melt in the sun, polymers don't seem mandatory on my car's finish.

This board is great, very informative threads, with people who believe in cold hard facts and seem to have a lot of personal experience. I'm sure looking forward to learning more from you guys! :bow

Thanks for the props, everybody has incredible cars in here!

Pascal you will never escape me! ( I know him so this is not a flame.)

Here is a picture of my svt. Pascal know's I love his ride!

Alright, love the contour. I would have probably gotten the SVT contour if they didn't stop makin it.

Looks good, but the ummm... stickers, they have to go!

Totally agreed, beautiful car...but there is something about a billboard on wheels that really ruins the look. At least he doesn't have them plastered all over the car.c

Hehe, Antonio, I know you keep following me around... :D You know your SVT is the shizz, but don't you come hijacking my thread! :p

Thanks guys, BTW the stickers are goners, they were on for that car show where we took some pics. That's my car right behind Antonio's with the hood at a different angle.
