Mytee HP60 or Lite II ?

Hi folks,

Time to shop for a new extractor !

So, based on searches and opinions (mostly from fellow Autopians), I'm going to give a Mytee a try. I've narrowed it down to two models, the Mytee HP60 Spyder and the Mytee Lite II 8070.

I know the differences in specs (1000 watt heater vs 1200 watts, 85" of water lift vs 137", etc), but does anyone have any opinions on which I should go with ? The difference between the two in price is the HP60 cost $630 more. Is it really worth the extra coinage ? Is the water lift THAT much better with the HP60 ?

For reference, I'm a fixed location shop that does about 2 full interior shampoos a day. Drying time isn't a huge deal for me, as I have a fan-forced quick interior dryer, and the shop's RH% is super low.

Any opinions muchly appreciated :spot

what is RH? brain fart...

and I have the II, so I would say go for hotter water and more lift. while is works, the II lacks for a shop location I would assume! the carpets are never really close to dry with the lift from the II, and I have to run the AC fans in the car and external fan every time I use it. Kind of a pain, which is why try not to.

I would go bigger!

Relative humidity.

Having a shop you could fill it with hot water, so the heater wouldn't be a deal breaker.

The extra lift is worth it, though.

If you're a fixed location that is doing multiple interiors a day I would go with the Grand Prix II HP 100. It's the one I went with and it's a great machine. The HP60 is great as well just smaller. And if you get some bigger jobs in you might find yourself draining and re-filling more often than you want to. But if the HP100 is out of the range the HP60 would be my choice. Same Pump and heaters and basically everything else the hp100 has just in a smaller size.

Ordered the Lite II, and received the HP60 (good luck i guess).

Having used the HP60 now, I can't imagine using something with less power. Go for the HP60.

That's a nice mistake!! Where'd you order it from, might have to take my chances!!:LOLOL

I have owned both and even though the lite II is a quality machine, it does not compare to the HP60.

Check craigslist to see if any mytee's for sale in your area.

Yeah! Well google it by price and there are 3 sites that are basically the same company.... shouldn't be hard to find.. they have the best prices too. Go for it ;)

I have a Mytee Spyder that I've been using for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier with it. Heats up really fast and has some nice lift.

Sounds like the HP60 it is !

I'll be having it shipped to me, I'm in a more remote location so no craigslist in my area...

Thanks to all for the recommendations !

Update: Capital started streching a bit thin, so I went with the Lite II. When I buy my secondary unit when our expanded shop is built this summer I'll be going with the HP60. My most recent experience is with the Durrmaid 1600, so we'll see how this compares. I'll post up a review when it comes in ! :xyxthumbs

Still extremely happy with it. Space conservation in my shop is important because I don't have a huge amount of room, and the Lite II does an AWESOME job. I don't regret the buying decision at all.
