My Zaino has been "Out Klasse'd"

I'm be putting the Klasse twins on for the 1st time on my silver car this weekend and judging from what your car looks like being excited :bounce is an understatement.

And I thought that SG was supposed to have a sterile look. :rofl

COBRyan, have you used Wolfgang? Do you prefer EX-P over Wolfgang. I am trying to decide which product to use.

You didn't address this to me, but I'll answer since I'm opinionated and I've used both.

The comparrison between EX-P and WG is no contest. I applied EX-P over AIO and it's miles wetter and more durable than WG. The only area where WG is better is the slickness.

How long did your Wolfgang last? How long did your EX-P last?

I was one of the first to apply the WG twins and it is still going strong for me. I am going on 19 weeks with one coat.

WG's slickness was gone in a week. That doesn't mean it wasn't there, but it sure felt like it wasn't there. The nice look WG gave was almost gone as well.

I'm entering week 2 with EX-P and it's still looking great. The 3 rain showers we've had removed the wet look (and replaced it with actual wet :) ), but I can still feel the EX-P.

Admittedly, there may be other factors. I put WG on top of WG polish, but I put EX-P on top of AIO.

Hmm...19 weeks compared to 2 weeks...I just don't understand that. Wolfgang's slickness does drop off pretty quickly, but is also quickly restored with a QD. The appearance of anything will drop off after time, but I can still see the Wolfgang glow after 19 weeks, also.

Maybe you didn't give Wolfgang a fair chance. Beading is typically a better indicator than slickness. How was the beading? How long did you actually leave Wolfgang on the car before removing it?

WG was on for 2 weeks before I removed it and put on AIO + EX-P. When I washed WG, I used the WG car wash.

Maybe QD does rejuevenate WG. I don't think I should have to rely on QD to perform the same function as another product provides on its own.

Admittedly, I'm not sure I want to give WG another chance. I like the look of AIO + EX-P far more. :D

That is what happened to me....

Its really strange, all the users getting such wildy different results with the same product. I think my prep was better than average and results with WG have been horrible. Looks great that day, all gone one wash later?

Your car looks great. I'm sure we'll all be interested in how the finish holds up. Zaino has the reputation of being one of the most durable and long lasting products.

My whole point is you made a claim that is false and misleading. You have no reason to believe that EX-P is more durable than Wolfgang.

It really doesn't matter to me, but there's enough misinformation floating around and it kills me to see more for no reason.

I haven't used Zaino, but I've tried a lot of products over the past few years and Klasse tops them all. Yesterday I met one of my employees at my veterinary hospital on an emergency basis as my cat was mauled by a dog. She drove her 10 year old Accord that I had detailed using the Klasse twins several months ago. The Accord had been washed the same day by her church group at a fund raising project, and it looked fantastic. Same with my brother's LS430. We detailed it several months ago using Klasse and when I saw it last week I was stunned.

I do not think I have as sophisticated an eye as others on this board, but I have concluded that I do not prefer the look of Klasse topped with a carnuba to Klasse all by itself.

My only issue with Klasse is the effort it takes to remove. Maybe that is why it lasts so long.

I don't think it's misleading. After 2 weeks and 1 wash, most of the look and slickness of WG was gone. I wasn't happy with it at the 1 week mark, but didn't have the chance to remove it and replace it.

I'm in week 2 of EX-P and I think the slickness and look is better than this point of WG. This has been a different week though. I've been in training class and at my in-laws for 5 of the 8 days. Those days, my car's been mostly outside. In addition, I've been through 3 rainstorms. When I had WG on, the car was constantly garaged and weathered no rain (Edit: Outside for 2 days with WG).

I'm glad you haven't experienced the same results I have. I don't think it invalidates my opinion in any sort. At the 2 week mark, perhaps WG was still protecting. Since it didn't feel slick and didn't look as good as I thought it did, I don't think it's durable enough.

IMO, true durability doesn't depend on slickness; it depends on protecting your paint, which is typically monitored by beading.
