My Zaino has been "Out Klasse'd"

I have been a zaino-holic for some years now, but that has all changed due to my recent purchase of Klasse AIO and SG.

As Metallica says, "I've dun thee unforgiven.. " according to Sal and zaino believers. I have removed my many, many, many layers of zaino and applied Klasse AIO then only ONE coat of SG.

I was impressed beyond belief with just one coat of SG.

My 2nd coat of SG is currently curing :D

I think I will be using Klasse over Zaino exclusively.

Why ? I think it produces a "wetter" looking finish than any other product on the market.

There are those detailers who with a trained eye can tell the difference between a "wet looking" finish as opposed to a "shiny finish"

I've always preferred "wet looking" showroom finishes over the "shiny" "bling, bling" finishes.

In my particular case, I went from a "wet looking" finish, to an even BETTER "wet looking" finish which I did not think was achievable.

My photos DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE.. It really is a significant improvement from Zaino.

Notables:

-Klasse is more expensive AIO & SG ($50-60.00 CDN depending on shipping)

-Klasse uses a more expensive detail spray ($30.00 CDN depending on shipping)

However, I am going to try z6 with it in weeks to come just to see how it works.

Thanks to the members on this great forum who helped with their contributions.

Your car looks great. However, after trying both, I prefer the attributes of Zaino over Klasse. I really think Zaino gets over accused over here of being plasticy or too shiny. That's just my experience though because I have Zaino on my car right now and it doesn't look any more plasticy or without depth than Klasse did. If you're happy though, thats all that matters. By the way, cheaper QD's will work just fine with Klasse like Megs. Final Detail.

Great looking S2K!!!:xyxthumbs I recently made the switch from only S100 to Klasse for my Accord after very heavily considering Zaino as well. I believe for Klasse you can use only detailers that don't have any type of wax/oil in it (Sonus, Final Inspection) and still be able to layer the SG. Once you top it with anything carnauba, you have to strip EVERYTHING before you can use the SG again as it won't bond properly to carnauba. Can someone correct me on this if I'm wrong?

I have also switched from Zaino to Klasse/Souveran on my black car. Zaino works great on the silver car, but on the black, I prefer the twins and carnauba.

By the way, it's "I dub thee unforgiven" :doh

I'm going to detail my ex-gf black C5 on Tuesday. (what can I say I'm a nice guy :)) She is an avid Zaino user and doesn't want to try anything else. I want her to see what Klasse will do to her car so I'll aplly a coat or two on there. If she decides to apply Z do I have to strip the Klasse first or can it be applied over it?? Thanks.

Are you sure "Scottwax" didnt help? ;) Because it looks as good as his work. That is a compliment!!:xyxthumbs

Klasse is hard to beat!

Whoa ! Yellow looks awesome ! :xyxthumbs

I think I will be using Klasse over Zaino exclusively.

I think it's meant as Klasse will be used rather than Zaino. Not Klasse to be on top of Zaino....right ?

Looks good....You can use Eagle One Wipe'nShine or meguiar's Final Inspection on Klasse and they aren't that expensive......or if you are gonna be topping it with a carnauba anyways you can use whatever you like on it......

I have used SG on my Cobra many times, but I think I prefer Poorboy's EX-P better. I have tried many combos and I think the EX-P is my favorite. It's almost as if the car was clearcoated again, but still wet!

Simon,

Yellow color is not my favorite in car's, but however your car looks soooo good. Love the color! :xyxthumbs

COBRyan, have you used Wolfgang? Do you prefer EX-P over Wolfgang. I am trying to decide which product to use.

Unfortunately, we don't have a barber shop to buy Zaino here in the west, so we have to pay shipping for Z also here, so it's about dead even for Klasse or Z here.

But as others have said, the Sonus spray is a rejunvenator which is not absolutely necessary for Klasse. I used #34 or Mother's and they both work great. But I don't like the way the Sonus makes the Klasse look afterwards.
