Nice ride, love the color.

I just sold my '96 - loved it but had issues with the tranny, mainly a nasty grind from 1st to 2nd @ high RPM shifts...have you noticed this?

This 1st-2nd gear high rpm grind is comon in T-45's It can usually be prolonged for a while by switching to Syncromesh Tranny fluid. The problem is with the syncros. Mine started doing it at 80K. I just replaced it with a brand new T-45 at that time and Im back to driving it like I stole it!

Yeah, rebuild or replace were my options. Car had a Pro 5.0 since day one, so the bent forks were kind of ruled out. It was the synchros I concluded. Sold it with 43k on it - other than the tranny I had no complaints whatsoever (except for the non greasable tie rod ends!!).

Great car - 4.10's = greater car.

intercooled, you should try meguiars hot tire shine. You do have to lightly buff it though so it won't sling.

I found no slinging with Hot Shine. That plus the adjustable nozzle and its my go to dressing now.

At least you guys never had to deal with that hunk of junk T-5. I bought two of them, and kept one rebuilt in the garage at all times. At one point, I was swapping them out every three months or three passes at the track with slicks. The rebuild kits were only $250 and my buddy did them for free, and the guys with the Tremecs weren't having any better luck than I did and they were paying ridiculous prices for rebuilds. In the end, I chucked the T-5's and went with a C4 and never looked back.

T-56 is another option too.

Thanks guys on The Hot Tire Shine product. I have been eyeing it on the shelf at Walmart. I'll have to give it a try. IF its a bit more glossier than Z16 I'll like it. I just don't like that super wet look on tires.

where are the pics?? My ex-gf wanted to see these pics because I told her what her car could look like! Please re-post them if you can! Your car is the cleanest white mustang I have ever seen.
