Finally put aside a full weekend to give my car the needed attention. I would like to say <strong class='bbc'>thank you[/b] to everyone on board for making it possible to have a car that looks <strong class='bbc'>better[/b] than the day I picked it up. :D

I'll post more pics in the Member's Pictures section for those who are interested...

well, maybe a few more wouldn't hurt...

I dawn washed/mother's clayed/dawn washed/ spot pi-2 fine cut/ meguiar's #9 2.0 (great!)/ AIO x2/ SG x2 plus 303, lexol & plexus inside...

Thanks guys....

While I still feel I have a lot to learn, and will learn with continued use, I am still overly happy at how things turned out. Of course, there is no sun out today for me to enjoy the new shine of my car which is sitting outside my window.

I must have looked out there 20 times today!

The car looks good GS3, I guess I'll be detailing mine this weekend. I have the same car except my interior is tan. Check out www.clublexus.com We have a whole forum that caters to our cars, hope to see you there.:D

Thanks redjeeper... I occasionally post over there... some of the guys there have done incredible things to their cars (turbos, nos, torque converters). It's a great forum in its own right.

Good luck with the detail... you'll enjoy how smooth and "buttery" the Lexus paint can feel.

Ahhh lexus owners unite :) . I have a silver IS300 (2002) and my paint doesnt feel all the smooth or buttery . I checked out IS300.net, they suck there, one more time, autopia rules! Thanks DavidB!!!!

I've found many times that the term "professional" can be used to describe someone that has learned to do a certain job faster, mostly by cutting corners, resulting in more profit. A serious "amateur", on the other hand, can take his time, use the right materials and must face his own worse critic, himself.

Please don't take this as a blanket statement regarding all professionals, because I do know some real pros that I would trust with any job and I know many amateurs that could screw up a trip to the bathroom! Some of the dumbest things ever done were performed by yours truely.

thanks guys! :D your replies persuade me continue klasse'ing on a regular basis (well, more coats of SG for now).

it's tough because i do not have close access to a garage to work in. i was fortunate enough to be able to drive out to my parent's place 45 minutes away. they think I'm nuts, but after seeing the end result, they've been asking who's car is next?!!!
