My two toys after a detailing day

I just purchased some GePC and it should be here tomorrow or thursday.:D Does a PC just make it easier, or do you get better results by using a PC. If so I'll have to make it wait along with my Menzerna products for me to get a PC.

GEPC is very friendly for hand appliation. PC w/ white pad kicks it up a bit though. Time wise, you don't save any by using PC. It's actually probably faster to apply by hand because it's so easy. It's just that the PC can do things your hand will never be able to do.

This stuff is like runny hand lotion so be careful when you start pouring. It's absolutely my favorite product. It's why I won't use Klasse because the 2 are incompatible.

incompatible? i've never heard that. Can you explain, and give me some tips of stuff to top it with, I have Klasse AIO, SG, S100. I like the protection that i get with Klasse, but as far as shine goes, I wanted the GEPC because of it's very fine polishing characteristics. Can I apply SG over it, instead of using AIO first?

If you go over GEPC with AIO, AIO will clean away all the oils from GEPC. You can't top GEPC with SG directly again because of the oils present in GEPC. The SG won't bond correctly.

In theory you could use GEPC, say after a DACP to remove any haze, then move on to AIO (or at least wash out oils) and finish up with SG.

I'm sure using the GEPC has some advantage even though the oils need to be washed out (either by soap or AIO) before applying SG. But, IMO, why bother applying GEPC then? It seems like a wasted step and wasted time if you're going to wash it out.

After GEPC, you can go straight to S100. Or, I've been experimenting with Poorboy's EX, which is more friendly to oily polishes. Check out my pics in this forum for the look.

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you need that 4 month winter protection, then go with Klasse. If you have the time and opportunity to wax, I'd recommend monthly S100 toppers and maybe EX.

You really like GECP right, for me was my first time and it is very nice.

The three process that I use are

DACP-82-Zaino: Shinny (On my Audi)

DACP-AIO-KSG: Deep: (Last Car)

DACP-GECP-P21S (First time) Great wet look (On my Volvo)

Love it. My favorite product. Easy to use, easy to buff off, looks great, delivers as promised.

Every routine has its pluses and minuses so I'm not telling people what to do, but for my Black Audi, the GEPC looks incredible. I guess it's the shiny vs. wet vs. deep like you said above.

How do the two cars compare? Just out of curiosity. I drove one of the first S40's (2000) and was not impressed. I have only heard good things about the new A4, so I was just wondering how you like them.

Thanks weegee, that is what I thought you were saying. It makes good sense. I have 4 layers of SG on my car right now and have been topping it with S100. I'll wait until after winter to start using this with a PC. Then I'll use IP,FP,GEPC,S100. I can't wait for the pictures of that on my car.

My Audi is 2000, is hte previous generation, it is a little bit slow, more if is automatic, but my car has chip, exhaust, HR-Bilsteins and other things that make the Audi nicer (the problem is that is tiptronic) but I am so happy with my car.

The Volvo is a model called T4 in USA they dont have it, it is 2001 and has a lot of power (200hp), it is fastest than my car, but the suspension and the handling are not so good, the seats and the security of the car is impresive.

IMHO, I think Audi is a lot better car than the Volvo, but both are great
