My Trailer. . . Need ideas =-0

Hey everyone! I need some help. I have a lowering ramp for the back of my trailer and I am trying to come up with sollutions to the slippery ramp, but I want it to look good. I was thinking of repainting it with some grip paper strips . . . or maybe 2x2 wood strips to act as steps. Eh. I dunno what to do!!!! Help!!!! pics for fun.

That is one nice trailer!! Don't they have textured paints that leave a non-skid surface when dry? Maybe something like that so you can stay with the black.
 
As Jen said..they make a Textured Gritty ..boat deck paint...I have used this paint on deck stairs...ramp going into my shed...and it works great....I even added more sand in it to do the ramps going into shed ...it should cure your problem...mine has been down 3 years now and still nice and grippy...

Worth a look into any ways

I would go with the paint as well. If you used anti-skid tape, it will start to come up along the edges and look really bad. It will look really professional if you paint it and it's done correctly.
 
Thanks everyone! I just got back from working in the rain.....I love those clients! Anyway, I need something soon, otherwise I am gonna slip and crack my melon. ;) As soon as the rain clears up I am definitely gonna have to try that paint.
 
Look for those do-it-yourself truck bed liners like Herculiner or Duplicolors truck bed coating. They can come in aerosol cans or roll on and are available at Wal-MArt, Autozone, Napa, etc. It'll be durable and less slippery than what you have now. Just another option.
 
Where I don’t have an actual solution for your slippery ramp other than what everyone else is saying….That M5 is one bad a$$ looking car…is that one that you get to work on often?

I have done it a few times. I am a BMW nut too. Both my parents drive 'em, grew up with my Dad always telling me there is no better car. hahaha. The M5 is insane!

He definitely is. My first car was an e36 alpine white Bimmer. I miss it so. When I do step up and purchase another Bimmer, it will definitely be a e36 M3 with low low miles. Dakar yellow would be oh so great. :drive:

Easiest way for your slippery deck solution if you choose not to use the grip tape... epoxy (oilbased) paint and play box sand. It goes on quite easily with a heavy knapp roller if you mix the two together in a tray, or roll out the epoxy, sprinkle on the sand then cover with a second and/or third coat.

hahaha thanks! I plan on using the paint from Lowes as soon as it dries up a bit here. . . On that note, I am off to do an Audi A6 in the garage. :yay
