my supra

I'm new here guys. I washed and waxed my previous cars myself and boy did I do a poor job.

My first car, I didn't wash it at all. At one point, moss even started to grow on it. I didn't care... it was just a $500 car anyway.

My second car was purchased brand new. I wanted to keep it clean and I was (and still am) cheap, so I "washed" it myself. After a bit I also started to realize how bad commercial car washes were. Anyway, at that time I didn't treat my car much better - I didn't know how to really detail and washed the car in the open sunshine and 80 degree weather using an old towel.

My third car, I started getting more into it. I actually bought some wax (although it was a cheap one), used microfiber and washed it in the shade. Still nothing more than simple washing followed by waxing though.

My current cars, well I'm back to the beginning. I have an old POS beater that I never wash - twice a year perhaps. I just don't care, the paint is already in horrible shape and it's a daily driver. However my other car, I'm ANAL about it to the point where I won't even drive it for fear of anything happening to it. With good reason, it's one of the rarest supras in the USA. My third car was a supra and when I sold it I vowed to replace it with only the best. It's one of only 24 made in this color/transmission combination, the last production year, is low-mileage and cleaner than any supra I've seen.

I'd detail it myself, but for fear of scratching it or something like that, I have it detailed professionally. I bought $150 worth of supplies half a year ago and am still gathering the courage to use them on the car. :lol

Anyway here it is:

I'm new here and mostly just read threads as they contain all the info I need, but can't pass up an opportunity to post more pics of my car somewhere. If my house were burning down, the one thing I'd save is the car :nervous:

Scottwax was the last person to touch it. Hi Scott ;)

i love supras...a good friend of mine had a red twin turbo supra and sold it to a car collector to get something more *practical*...needless to say he missses it..dont ever sell that car, i know in jersey twin turbo or not, a supra in the condition you have it in is rare..please post pics of the engine and interior if you can

Very very nice. Great car. I wish mine was in that sort of condition.

I've "borrowed" one of your images as my computer background for a while I like that car that much!

Is that the Silverstone Edition ? Very, very nice car Ive never been much on Asian cars but I love the Supras! Ever run it in the 1/4 mile?

Ha! I knew I'd seen that car before. Until I saw what you wrote under the pictures, I thought someone snagged your pics and was pretending it was their car.

Hi Stefan, welcome to Autopia! :wavey

:welcome

car is "super" clean !!

but one thing comes to mind, tastefully done,

nothing extreme, exhaust and wheels, at least what can be seen on the exterior. too many cars are overdone :nervous:

I think there an FMIC tucked in behind the front bumper as well which means he'll be running higher boost levels. If it's got the standard turbos on then it'll have about 400bhp and if he's gone single turbo then the bhp could be enormous.

Let's have a picture of the engine please? :)

I think their 19's.

Yes, a rare car indeed. It's good looking and I'm glad it hasn't been butchered with a bunch of scoops too!

It's still on the stock twins, but is fast enough to break every speed limit in the country in a few seconds. I'm by no means a racing driver so 400 rwhp is enough for me to keep my hands full with...

Gorgeous Ride....The Supra is my favorite car in the world. Ive driven everything you can think of, but that car just seems to wrap around you...Im sure you know what I mean. I looked for one for 3 years and never found one for sale that was in the right condition. I bought the Mach after I gave up, but if you EVER want to sell it...You know where you could start a feeding frenzy!

Thanks for the photo.

Nice sensible modifications you've got there. I like a lot!

The Supra has and always will be my dream car and I still can't believe that I've got one now. It's not in anything like as good condition as yours but then it's 11 years old and I've only had it 6 months so I havn't had time yet to sort all the issues out.

beautiful quicksilver and HRE I miss mine I sold it after 12.5 years I bought it new in 1993 when they first came out. it is the longest I have ever kept a car. As you can see from

my sig I am waiting on a new corvette convertible( I will still miss the supra though) BTW the hks filter do pass a lot of air but do not filter very well I would go to an apexi or a Kand N
