My Summer Project - 1976 MGB GT

Over the course of the summer holiday I am putting together some videos for some detailing processes and testing some new products and to do this I have needed a couple of willing car vounteers :D ... This is the first one, a 1976 MGB GT in solid white:

Owner is a good friend and is selling the car when he gets the right offer, but until then I have it as a summer project - over the time it will be detailed, just one wee bit at a time as I do some technique videos and product testing, and I will keep working with it until it is detailed :) Some very deep marks this car has picked up on some of its original paint over its life are here to stay in terms of polishing, but for me it is a great little car with bucket loads of character to put a shine into :thumb:

I've started on the bonnet and the driver's side wing top which was needing some attention to remove what looked like wetsanding ridging in the finish so this had Menzerna S100 Power Gloss on a cutting pad, followed by Menzerna PO85RD3.02 Intensive Polish on a Hexlogic white polishinng pad followed by Menzerna PO85RD Final Finish on a Hexlogic black finishing pad...

Results so far:

Still got a long way to go with this car and look out for it featuring in some product testing over the next few weeks, along with my other summer projects (solid red MGB and a solid red Vauxhall Astra estate)... hopefully in a few weeks time I'll get it out into the late summer light for some nice after pics, and an excuse to take it for a little drive :D
