My stuff.

Porkanbeans

O RLY?
This is my feeble attempt at a car care product collection. I bought most of this stuff (except for the towels) at Pepboys on Sunday. I think this is basically all I need for a decent detail besides the shop vac (not pictured) and the PC polisher (not purchased yet.). I plan on accumulating more stuff as my little business gets off the ground.

Did you decide not to try Auto Color?

It looks like you've got all the basics covered there!

You'll like the NXT wash; it has good suds, lubricates well and smells great. It is the only NXT product that I really like...I can't tell if you bought the NXT Tech Protectant or Booster Wax...if it is the Booster Wax, I did not like it at all as a Wax As You Dry...that was worse than waxing the entire car. It works pretty well as a QD, but I found that it dusted a bit. Personally I preferred to apply the Tech Protectant with a damp applicator, but part of the fun is learning what works best for you...and as long as your customers are happy, it doesn't matter whether you used the Mother's Wax or something that cost 10 or 15 times more.

Mtodde,

Auto Color is closed on Sunday. I went out there anyway to see their hours and got a peek at the goods inside. Looks like a pretty good source to me :). I may make the trip over there to look at a polisher on Saturday. If I do I'll give you feedback on what the store is like.

The NXT stuff behind the wax is the booster wax. By the way, I have had the NXT wash for about 3 months now. I've used it on about 20 cars, and I'm still only 1/3 through with the bottle. The suds are amazing and last very long. But anyway, I don't like the spray wax. It doesn't really mount up to other QD-like products. The wax is pretty decent as well.

I may get lots of stuff from Auto Color as soon as I get rid of this stash. I plan to detail each (4) of my football coach's cars as and end of the season gift, so if I haven't run out by then, I will afterwards.

Thanks for the replies!

Nice! Now after reading 2 reviews I really want one, but I don't need it unless I get interior demand. How has it performed for you?

I just bought the same vac last week , it works great. I love that ir's wall mounted but I can still take it out with ease and use it else where.:bigups

Woob, I highly suggest that you buy one. It's only $89. I've tried it all around the house and it works miracles. If you want to carry it with you on mobile jobs, you can just lift it out, take your attachments with you and be on your way. It's really light, easy to handle, and it's quite small.

The Chee, I've got 4 times the cabinet space than pictured :naughty . It's pretty nice when the previous owner of your house installs his old kitchen cabinetry in the garage :). I'll post some pics of the whole place once I get it fixed up.

Well it looks like you have opened “Pandora’s Box”. Your collection will only grow from there. Don’t be afraid to try new product and combos.

One thing I don't see is a clay bar...if you don't have one that would be a great investment. I like Mother's

I was gonna buy the Mothers clay bar system, but the only one they had was a box that had obviously been returned. It had clear packaging tape holding the bottom together and it was in bad shape. Not a good choice to buy that one if you ask me.

And by the way, PorkANbeans is how rednecks, like myself, say it, so it's gonna stick. ;)
