My Steamer!!!!!!!!!

Finally got a steamer. I used it on my carpet and a couch cushion. It seems to be very promising!

Dang, that looks nice! Congrats! Steamers are just way too much fun. I think I've steamed everything in my house and cars now.

May I ask how much for it and from whom did you by it? I bought a similar commercial steamer from Refresh Your House and paid 845.00 in 2006.

I am interested in the methods also. Right now Im randomly changing attachments and using them. It def adds quality to your detail. Cloth seats that I may have not touched are now easily cleaned and the headliner above the drivers door is getting cleaned quicker and more thoroughly.

The process is what will make it worth the cost though. A tool is nothing without the proper methods and techniques which in turn make you money.

Its one of the easiest things to use.

Just be careful of:

Headliners that are glued up, you may soften the glue.

Steering wheels that are already peeling, you will peel the rest of the coating off.

Radio button markers that are painted on, you may lighten them or remove them.

Paint chips, you could heat up the area around the chip and get under the clear.

I say "be careful" not "avoid". Just watch what you are going as you go.

Just bought a McCullough on sale at Harbor Freight. Yes I'm aware it's a cheap steamer but it's a good cheap steamer, at least according to many reviews I've read.

And, being an enthusiast and only an occasional detailer for pay, I can't spend $700 for a steamer.

Haven't tried it on a vehicle yet, but all our jewelry in the house is now so clean and sparkly.

I'll go ahead and say flat out avoid headliners...
