My review of Wolfgang Products

I was one of the very fortunate ones to receive a free Wolfgang evaluation kit from Dwayne. I finally had a chance to try the products out yesterday and thought I'd post a few pics and give a review of my results.

The pics are not great as I didn't get any yesterday after I finished and today is very overcast, so I decided to just take a few pics of the car while still under the carport. So the lighting is not the greatest. Nevertheless, with total overcast today, I wouldn't be able to get any in the bright sunlight anyway.

I used the 2 oz. sample of car wash supplied with the kit. It's fantastic stuff. The car was already pretty clean to begin with so I didn't have to refresh the soap bucket. It never lost the suds and bubbles! The car wash seemed to cause the cotton mitt to just glide over the paint. I am really very impressed with this car wash.

Next I applied the pre-wax polish enhancer. I thought it did a super job of bringing a very nice shine to the paint. I think it did give some really good added reflectivity to the paint. I was very pleased with this product too.

Next I applied the deep gloss paint sealant. I was very pleased with this product as well. It added some very nice shine and reflectivity and clarity to the paint.

Ok, now both products went on very easy and came off amazingly with little effort; especially so the sealant. Neither caused any staining to the rubber trim. I was very pleased about this.

I used the micro fiber that came with the kit and it removed product very well and seemed to be of high quality.

In my opinion, the sealant does not give quite the warmth or depth of a carnauba, but I don't see that as a problem as I enjoy topping a sealant with a carnauba anyway; which I am about to do shortly using liquid Souveran.

In summary then, I am really very pleased with the products. I haven't tried the Instant Detail Spritz yet but will after I put on the Souveran. These are in my opinion some great products and I'm glad to have them in my arsenal!!

Attached are a few pics - sorry they are not better quality, but they will hopefully give some idea anyway.

keeotee,

Very nice! Ant first impressions on comparisons to other similar products?

CarGlow - I have never used Zaino so I can't speak to that.

Boss,

I'd say it looked and went on like UPP - the sealant that is. I'd say it removed the same too. I find them to be quite comparable. Of course there is no way to speak to the issue of durability yet.

That's probably about the best I can do with my limited experience at this point.

I need to add that the car does have some cob webbing and yesterday after I applied the sealant, I could see the cobwebs on the trunk lid pretty well. The light is different today with it being so overcast, but I swear it does look like it did hide some of the cobwebs. Could it be that it needed time to cure first before this effect to place? I wonder.

Did you think that the sealant finish was oily feeling? I did on my car see me thread for the pics of my black BMW. I also felt that the sealant made the car shinny but sis not have that POP that you get from UPP. It reminded me of Zaino type of finish

Beemer - just read your post. It's been too long since I used UPP and have only used it a couple times, so I can't recall well enough to speak to that - other than I do remember how UPP just glided on a clean surface so easily and came off so as well.

I didn't find it to be oily, but then I didn't have the chance to pull it out into the bright sunlight either. Is it possible it resulted in such before it had time to cure? Did it have timt to cure before pulling it out into the bright sun? I'm just guessing about this of course.

I just added a coat of Souveran today and I do think it darkened it slightly and gave it some more warmth. I love Souveran on my red car and red truck!

I let it dry / cure for an hour, and pulled the car into the light about an hour later. I think there is a fair amount of polymers in this product that may be causeing what I'm saying about oil. I did have a look at the ar today and its dellted down from yesterday. Stilll thought you can't touch the car withnout seeing finger prints

Beemer,

I'm trying to think if I can remember, because I know I did touch the paint after removal. I'm sure you're right about it. I'm trying to remember how long I let it dry before I removed it. I'm pretty sure it was probably close to an hour also.
