First let me thank Our Mayor David B for giving us the chance to try products like this with his great free trial deals.
My review is little later than it should have been. I have been dealing with a serious illness in the family that has taken a turn for the worse and has required 5 times a week chemo that has left me with very little time to tinker. The weather also didn't cooperate until this past weekend.
My package contained the Sonus Leather Cleaner and Sonus Leather Conditioner as well as the Cockpit deatiling spray and arrived packaged as only Autotopia does. Its the little details like shrink wrapping every product to avoid spills that makes me come back again and again.
The car I tried all three products out on is a 2003 BMW 3 Series with Black leather which I believe is a coated leather product.
On the Leather Cleaner, I have to admit I have been using a one step cleaner and conditioning product for some time. Iit took using this cleaner to remind me that one step products are a compromise as they cant be cleaning and conditioning at the same time. The cleaner is a clear liquid that foams ever so slightly if agitated and wipes away very easiy. My seats looked clean to the eye but the included Sonus Sponge said otherwise. I am hoping to try this product out on a car with dirty leather soon but from my exp on clean leather this product is a keeper. The cleaner left a dry and clean surface ready for conditioning after the recomended wait of 30 minutes.
On the Leather Conditioner, don't expect a nice leather in a bottle smell. Do expect a nice easy to spread and good looking product. The smell is something you notice in the bottle, on the leather I didn't detect anything. Another great product. Its not very glossy at all, more of a darkening effect on my black leather. It was not greasy in anyway. My girlfriend could not tell I applied the product an hour later.
The size of both bottles is not listed on the bottle itself but it looks like 16 ounces. They should last a long long time.
On to the Cockpit Detailer, this product is what made jump at the chance to take part in this trial. I have been using 1Z Cockpit spray for a few years and really like it. With the recent decision by 1Z to abandon its dealer network I have been looking for a replacement for what has been one of my favorite detailing products. Sonus is that replacement. In every way this is what I have been looking for. Great not to glossy look and easy as can be application. Slight lemony scent which I understand people think of as a clean smell. I did like the 1Z smell better but any of these scents last for minutes anyway. This is a product I will buy and recommend over and over. Slight darkening and very little gloss along with removing dust is the perfect combination for quick interior cleaning. Can you tell I love this stuff.
While not part of the sample I also ordered some Sonus Acrylic Spritz. If your using Klasse and havent tried this stuff you should, a great QD that makes SG POP.
Thanks David for the great products and the chance to try them out first. I will be reordering Sonus again soon.
